His grandfather is Ken Mulhearn, who was the Man City keeper when they won the league in 1968. Shrewsbury also being the club Man City got Joe Hart from.

Matthew Le God replied to brett24's topic in The Saints
How many players can you name that have refused to play for a sustained period of time when the transfer window is closed? -

Post match interview with BBC Radio Solent, Wanyama discussed at around 2:30... Koeman states (yet again) that Mane and Wanyama won't be sold this window. -

Similar was happening with Schneiderlin last summer, we kept him for another year and I'm sure you'll agree he had a good 2014/15... wouldn't you...? -

Like Schneiderlin didn't in the summer of 2014 when he threw a tantrum? I wouldn't jump to conclusions as you have. -

You are contradicting yourself. That doesn't make any sense as Spurs came 5th last season. -
If we lose, its possible for us to be 20th.

Matthew Le God replied to Brizzie Saints's topic in The Saints
Even if he wanted to say goodbye, there wasn't many fans in the stadium at the end of the game for him to say goodbye to. -

Do you have a U-turn post ready? Or will you just keep quiet for a few days before the next negative over reaction and hysterical post? -
Stekelenburg's Blue has brought curse on our season
Matthew Le God replied to ART's topic in The Saints
Perhaps more so than any other post ART has made on this forum. -
Koeman has recently said Rodriguez is not ready yet to start two games in a week.

Celtic have a dreadful domestic schedule and 6 games in Europe... 2x Ajax, 2x Fenerbahce, 2x Molde If van Dijk comes to Saints he gets 34/35 games this season in the world's most high profile league including 12 games vs... 2x Man Utd, 2x Man City, 2x Arsenal, 2x Chelsea, 2x Liverpool, 2x Spurs Celtic can't compete with Saints on wages, Saints wage budget is significantly above theirs. -
CONFIRMED - Virgil Van Dijk joins on Five Year Deal
Matthew Le God replied to Brizzie Saints's topic in The Saints
Why? He'd get a wage rise and more big games at Saints than he'd have at Celtic this season. -
FC Midtjylland 1 Saints 0 - Post Match reaction
Matthew Le God replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
Tonight was utterly dire. But on the bright side, the following 6 players didn't start tonight... Ryan Bertrand Victor Wanyama Jordy Clasie Cedric Soares Sadio Mane Dusan Tadic Can all be added to the starting XI to make it stronger. Plus Virgil van Dijk possibly soon to sign. -

Its on the BT Sport Europe channel.

Where do you think FC Midtjylland would finish in the Premier League?
-
Don't view it as a back five then, as Targett and Martina will be very attacking wing backs playing high up the pitch when we have the ball.

My point was Bill Kenwright's Everton still sell its best players if there is genuine firm interest in them. Like every other team in world football bar Real Madrid and Barcelona. Saints held firm with Schneiderlin last summer, but it was still inevitable he'd leave at some point just as Stones will leave Everton if not this window then probably next January or next summer as he is clearly unsettled. You may now cite Baines and Coleman but do you know for 100% sure there has ever been firm and determined interest in them from another side?

Wanyama hasn't travelled to Denmark due to a stomach infection and Mane has been injured (he went off in the 1st half vs Watford) and hasn't been in full training all week (so may only be an option from the bench).

Rooney - Man Utd Lescott - Man City Pienaar - Tottenham Arteta - Arsenal Rodwell - Man City Fellaini - Man Utd

All that shows is Reed has travelled to Denmark; it doesn't even mean he'll be in the match day 18 (we'd take more than 18 players for an away trip), let alone the starting XI.
