Stripes for the first game of the season?
Matthew Le God replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
The Stalybridge Celtic to which you refer are not a "professional English team", they were a professional English team. And don't call me big nose...! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ahg2GVWHGKY -
It isn't live on any station. If Pochettino says something interesting clips of it will probably be on Sky Sports News and BBC's South Today. The whole press conference will be on Saints Player later today with a shorter version probably on Saints youtube channel.

Agreed, lets take this to one of the many kit threads then.
-
Again, simply not true. That shows a range of style and colour combinations. Some of the kits have red on them, some have no red at all. Some have a lot of black, some very little black. So how is that the same style and colours for their entire history?

Have you actually looked at that link? That isn't the same style and colours for the entire history.
-
Not even remotely close to being true.
-
Name a professional English team that has had the same style kit and colours for their entire history.
-
What do you mean by "proper"?

This is where future press conferences will be held when Staplewood is finished...

A twitter account that is a tribute to Luke Shaw asked Simon Peach to retweet their message which will show it to everyone that follows Simon Peach in order to try and help them get more people to follow them. Simon Peach then copied that message and tweeted it with his own comment that "these guys should be happy soon" referring to the Luke Shaw fan page liking Shaw will soon sign a new contract. Luke Shaw himself was not involved at all in this conversation on Twitter, it says "officialshaw23" but that is the fan account. I hope that is clear and helps you.

Saints aren't particularly light in numbers, in fact it needs quite a bit of trimming... Boruc K.Davis Gazzaniga Clyne Fox Shaw Hooiveld Fonte Lovren Forren Yoshida Schneiderlin Cork Ward-Prowse S.Davis Isgrove Mayuka Lallana Puncheon Ramirez Rodriguez Do Prado Lambert That is 23 players that will train as the senior squad in pre-season! and then... Sharp Chaplow De Ridder Martin Hammond Forte Tadanari Lee and then the under 21 development squad and under 18's.

Former Saints star Mel Blyth is considering selling his 1976 FA Cup winner’s medal in order to give some money to his two children, Kelly and Michael. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/10521922.Cup_final_medal_up_for_sale/ Peter Rodrigues’ medal was sold 9 years ago and was bought by Rupert Lowe for £10,200 at auction. It is sad Blyth feels he should sell it, but I think it would be a good if the club brought Blyth's medal for say £20,000 (a drop in the ocean for them). It gives Mel the money he wants for his children and a part of Saints history can go in the trophy cabinet.

Lets judge it in September when the window has closed. The players aren't even back in full training yet.
-
Neither of those are relevant examples, they weren't released on free because the weren't good enough. I was also saying such a transfer doesn't have the "wow" factor, not that by default being released makes him a bad player. He may well be a good signing for Stoke but that wasn't my point.
-
He'll have to overtake Huth and Shawcross in the pecking order which will be difficult.
-
Lovren and Ramirez suggest that some will. Yes, alot won't like the lack of agent fee on offer and we'll get a lot of rejections but some deals for big players will go through imo. Just a question of patience and sticking to your principles. Which I think Cortese will do. If more chairmen took Cortese's approach to agent fees football would be better off!
-
I was responding to the thread title which is "Inexperience in the transfer market".
-
In the last 4 years Nicola Cortese has completed 51 incoming (loan/transfer) player transactions for a total cost of over £50m, including ones for £12m, £10m and £7m. Last year he secured circa £35m worth of incoming transfers whilst paying only £600k in agent fees. He is not "inexperienced in the transfer market".

And were any of them released from Barcelona B on free transfers? My point was a player released from Barcelona B is not a "WOW signing".
