  1. No mention of next season, long term ambition.
  2. Read Buttner's statement in the context it is written and it is clearly talking about the club's overall ambitions and resources, not just in one off games like the opening day of the season. You are the man that translated booking a hotel conference room into there being a press conference today. Two completely different things and also an English to English translation! http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?38754-Press-conference-today
  3. Showing them the stadium, showing them the plans for Staplewood, showing them the potential St Mary's redevelopment... Telling them and giving them the impression we are aiming to compete at the top with Manchester City...? http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.soccernews.nl%2Fnews%2F160537%2FBüttner%3A_Ben_in_Southampton_geweest_en_alles_is_perfect&act=url As Google translate isn't great, I've asked a Dutchman to translate it for me...
  4. In English... http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.soccernews.nl%2Fnews%2F160537%2FBüttner%3A_Ben_in_Southampton_geweest_en_alles_is_perfect&act=url

  6. He is in two on the main article about the kit on the OS! http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2827440,00.html
  7. We discussed that 3 days ago when it was "news".
  8. Just goes to show "tradition" is quite short term in some people's eyes. A lot of people consider Leeds to be traditionally white or Coventry sky blue. That "tradition" happened in the 1960's. Early on after those changes I'm sure you would have people like we have Saints fans at the moment complaining about Leeds and Coventry not sticking to the pre 1960's "tradition".
  9. Tadanari Lee will seem like a new signing in terms of adding to the squad strength over the course of next season considering how little he played last season due to his injury.
  10. For 59 years Saints wore blue shorts and blue socks. Why aren't you calling for a return to blue shorts and blue socks?
  11. Saints would have had to "clear" their kits with the football authorities. They clearly see no problems and are happy for Saints to have only two kits. Although some clubs have not revealed publicly their kits for next season, the authorities would have seen them by this stage.
  12. There really isn't that much red on the kit at all, certainly not enough to clash with the examples I posted. Games have gone ahead in the past with teams in slightly different shades of blue. Saints aren't releasing a 3rd kit, so what do you think is going to happen when we play Stoke and Sunderland?
  13. Why is it not a good example? There is clearly no clash there even if you remove the blue on the Bolton kit. The red is very prominent on Stoke and Sunderland kits.
  14. For those that think Saints can't wear a white away kit against Sunderland and Stoke...
  15. I didn't take the photo's, but I have been to St Mary's today. Write to your local MP.
  16. I know you aren't being serious, but just in case... they are midway through putting them up. All will have white frames when finished.
  17. Better or worse than bare corrugated metal? At least it gives more club identity to the stadium.
  18. A new look for St Mary's this season with some more large photos... This one is particularly interesting. Academy player James Ward-Prowse, born in Portsmouth, a former season ticket holder at Fratton Park, now converted and a large photo of him on our stadium kissing our badge... Will the Portsmouth News run a story about Ward-Prowse if he plays for England like they did with Oxlade-Chamberlain?
  19. When I'm "being me", I'm normally correct. You weren't.
  20. I said "a pretty much all white Saints away kit", I did not say "an all white Saints away kit".
