To be third choice behind Lallana and Falque?

"What is happening about a possible points penalty from the League? The League are finalising their report on the club's position following the administration of CSI and we are expecting to receive the outcome shortly. However, we understand that the League may delay their decision until the club’s current ownership situation is closer to being resolved. What happens if funds are not raised or provided? We are obviously not in Administration at the moment and continue to do everything possible to achieve a successful outcome. Ultimately if the club cannot meet its debts, it may face administration and the associated impact both operationally and from a football point of view (in terms of an automatic points penalty). We remain positive that this eventuality will be avoided, not least because it is in the interests of those concerned, including the charge-holder, to preserve the value of the club as far as possible." http://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/LatestNews/news/Portsmouth-Football-Club-Statement-3049.aspx Interesting...

I'd imagine a judge will be far less likely to grant any extensions this time, either they pay it in full or the club will be wound up on the day of the hearing.

Not quite what he said trousers!

The whole thing is starting to become a saga. A Pompey saga. A Pompey takeover saga...

They played this on the St Mary's PA system before the game vs Leicester City... [video=youtube;gEmJ-VWPDM4]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEmJ-VWPDM4&ob=av3e

Another bid rejected. So they have no intention of paying their taxes or raising the cash to do so... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/16631720.stm There is no guarantee any club will make further bids between now and 31st January, so this might be the only money they get. But they still turn it down!

He was injured in the under 21 game vs Birmingham.

They also have Ryan Doble in the market despite him being on loan at Bury. Not the most accurate odds complied ever.

hmmm...should I? Yes, why not. (see avatar)

He went off injured in the 70 minute against Nottingham Forest when he pulled something and kept sitting down until taken off.

I didn't, just a joke too obvious not to be made, so likely more than one thought of it.

He "allegedly" framed Redknapp in an elaborate scam to boost his followers.

Redknapp had a 10% clause in his contract. The Crouch deal Pompey saved 5% because Mandaric paid half of it personally and avoided tax. Points deduction?

This thread will sail through 1,000 pages in the coming days.

You will find the majority of people are right footed, so of course most centre backs will be right footed. Adkins admits he likes having a left footed centre back and I can see why. Centre backs often have to cover for their full backs, with Hooiveld it makes it easier for him to cover Fox being also left footed.

I didn't say he wouldn't. Just that the press may link those big clubs with him, but it is telling that he is only talking to PSV.

He denied it on Twitter a few days ago when it made the Dutch press that Saints were in for him and said his agent was talking to PSV. This is probably just someone tweeting the original story unaware that it is rubbish.

It is PSV he has said he is talking to, so the interest from those others wasn't that strong (if at all). PSV aren't that good.

He came on as a sub against Forest last week. And he was fit enough to be on the bench.
