Nope, he said in December interview with the BBC that he has other investors more than happy to step in with the same levels of funding. Do you really think Le Tissier can slag Cortese all he wants in the press and then should be given favours by Cortese?

Cortese hasn't been the one running to the press about it. He has kept quiet and professional about it without naming names, it is those ex Saints that are going to the press with largely unsubstantiated claims.

The ex Saints are the ones making unsubstantiated claims about Cortese in the press and then running back to the press when Cortese doesn't give them perks. All Cortese has done is not give perks to people that slag him off, which he is well within his rights to do.

Nope, Le Tissier has been making snide remarks in the written and broadcast media for a long time about Cortese. Despite doing this, Le Tiss thinks that Cortese should be doing him favours. I like Le Tiss as much as any Saints fan (as my username suggests), but he is being very naive and seems oblivious to the fact that his actions may have consequences. If you **** someone off in the press with unsubstantiated claims, you can't expect them to give you perks, no matter what you did for the club.

Awesome interview from Cortese, not a man to be messed with! Reading that article I think Chamberlain will be with Saints until at least summer 2012 if Saints are promoted to the CHampionship this year, and will only leave if Saints aren't a Premier League team for the 2012/13 season. The Daily Echo is quick to publish versions of negative stories from other papers such as the Daily Mail. Will be interesting to see if the Daily Echo reports on this Daily Telegraph story, and if it does whether it puts a positive or negative slant on it.

Nicola Cortese has publicly said the family are 100% committed and they haven't rubbished his statement in the two months since he made it when they quite easily could. Fleet Street and it seems a number of Saints fans, ignore this.

Based on what exactly? The club is still spending money on players, Cortese has said they are still fully behind the project and the club has since Markus' death submitted plans for a training ground upgrade that is three times the cost of the original plans.

Order is restored, I disagree with him again... Find something credible to back that up? Because I don't think you will as he at no point put a guarantee of a time frame for the project. What they have done is re-evaluate what they need and the new plans are far more substantial than the original and will cost three times as much. Not the actions of a family that want to sell up anytime soon and not fulfil Markus' legacy!
