I see there are 4 huge cruise ships in tomorrow and also the first weekend of the boat show coupled with usual Sunday shopping and Ikea could make for horrendous traffic jam, especially for an early afternoon kick off time.

Enjoyed the win, Sparta were poor which was a disappointment but overall a good night. I like the shirts, wonder if they can be bought, surely we should have had the kit designed with EUFA rules in mind, even the numbers were a different size, unless PL and EUFA rules are different.

At a home game in the league there are always a few minibuses parked amongst the coaches, maybe if you approached from the Itchen Bridge end the stewards at the roundabout will let you park in Britannia Road.

I seem to think Madley got some history with us from a couple of years back.

Where's Balotelli these days
-
I have heard today from a good source that it looks like he is staying.

I just don't know what to expect, the progression we have made over the years has to slow at some stage, yet another new manager, loss of goalscorers and Wanyama, pledge to bring academy players through make me feel a bit negative this season, however, if Fonte stays and we keep the same back line then I am hoping for top 10 and a cup run. I know Koeman upset the board with his views on the youngsters last year but how many of us thinks that any of them would have improved us.

Austin on £100k a week apparently due to his "low" fee. Obviously there will be some signings especially a forward and a couple of keepers. I expect things to happen now the tours are done and all back to Staplewood. I was told that the manager recommends a player to one person (don't know exactly who, Les Reed or the Recruitment guy) he puts the name to the analysts who vigorously check his background (and his family etc.) and then if all OK the one person makes the final decision. Seems like the old Harry type of business is long gone, everything now is more drawn out.

Speaking to a staff member, the priority signing we are working on right now is a striker "obviously". Still a long way to the end of the window so things will happen.

How long do owners hang around for these days, every club has probably got a price. Our owners have done us proud, pity poor Coventry with that SISU lot.

The Silver Fern has cider for a £1 with a burger meal, can see a team breakfast in there.

We could do a lot worse than Les Reed
-
I like Sammy, sorry to see him go, good luck for the future wherever it may be.

I thought Stek was doing OK until FF came back and then I realised how ordinary he is.

Leicester have decided not to sell their best players
Pedro replied to Nordic Saint's topic in The Saints
Whatever statement Les Reed may make it only fuels the media and they then twist it around for their own agenda Why should he make any statement when there really is not much to say, recruitment in any big business takes time, certainly more than the week or so we have been managerless. -
From memory I think Les Reed said they met Koeman met in London. A cabbie picked me up once and said he told a director (passenger) what wages they could and couldn't pay regards the financial restrictions, advising them on the FFP. Wonder, if he was so clever, why he was a taxi driver.

At about 1pm I saw a black Mercedes S Class P7 SFC (is this a club car?) at Southampton airport, probably Katherina flying in.
-
Had the club issued a decent statement everyone would know it wasn't meant. This has been a bitter parting and the board are obviously hurting with the manner in which it has been done so why wish him every success in the future. When people like Koeman act in this way then there are no surprises left, I really thought we had a manager of integrity and loyalty. We March On, have been in much worse situation.

So they admit to being failures

And I thought this would be a slow, boring, quiet summer on here and that the Euros would break the boredom.
-
Koeman has already primed us to expect a couple of players leaving. I wonder if Les signed JWP, VVD and FF on big deals in case Koeman left and then wanted to poach them, big sell on clauses I would suspect. How many CL places will be needed next year for all these wealthy owners trying to buy success, they can't all be top 4.

I've been having this problem for a while and assumed it was because I have not paid, actually having difficulty writing this reply. It's only this site, none other.

Who's the actor that screwed Wayne Rooneys hooker?
-
I think they will make the play offs and then lose in the semis. They can then write to the "shareholders" to "buy" more shares ready for a promotion push next season.
