I agree with what you are saying but 100 years ago people would have thought it was crazy to detect such things as down syndrome in the womb. Doctors reckon there is something in the gene make up for homosexuals that make them gay (I think this is ****** personally). If they can confirm this is indeed true and possible to pick up during pregnancy then knowing this country and the way certain people think, there will be a market for giving parents this option if its feasible. I dont think anyone is accepting that particular point of view but there will always be peaople with extreme views about because we live in a democratic society (apparently), even the extremists have a right to air their view.

Not that I agree with Essruu's points because I dont but should we really be insulting him for airing his own personal views when thats exactly what he's been asked to do? The word 'queer' can be construed as derogatory but I have a few gay friends and colleagues who openly call themselves queer. Perhaps Essruu could have put what he said more eloquently but he has just as much right to air his point of view as everyone else. I'm assuming Mr X wanted to hear the opinions of a broad cross section of football fans, not just the more liberal ones amongst us. What should come as a comfort though is how many people, including myself, couldnt care less what his preference was sexually. This is a football forum, if he spends time on here it means he is a Saints fan. Thats good enough for me.

Whilst I may agree with a few of the points raised on this thread I cant help but laugh at those who are commenting. I'm imagining most of you getting more and more wound up by the culprits in question, not having the bottle to tell them to shut up but simply sitting in silence, wringing your palms thinking "corrr... just you wait til I get on Saints Web later, I'm going to start a really strong worded thread about you"... I'm flying to Egypt tonight, spending 8 nights in Dahab which I am reliably informed is about an hour away from Sharm El Sheik and not quite as chavvy. I've sort of left everything down to the mrs to decide what we do. Had anyone on here ever been? If so, if there is any think they can recommend we do whilst we are over there that would be great! I was thinking about a day trip to Petra but thats about it... I'm staying at the Hilton Dahab if anyone wants to join us!!

My point is you are accusing the lad of being a one season wonder when he has proven he can score goals over a much longer period of time. This season he has been ****e but then so has the rest of the team. Most strikers are all about confidence. The fact that the team is currently playing without any and creating very few chances is obviously rubbing off on Lambert. The same way Fernando Torres currently looks a shadow of his old self. Or Wayne Rooney. Once they register a few goals they'll be away and Lambert will be no different.

Apart from the fact that he scored a bucket load for Bristol ROvers the season before and was playing last season in a side more full of confidence, quicker and creating more opportunities.

Some of the reasons for this; Anyone ITK or with the remotest piece of evidence something may be happening when SFC sign a player or manager that has the gaul to post it on here gets shot down in flames no matter how water tight the rumour is. This is a fans forum, surely it is where fans should be passing on rumours and gossip they heard down the pub/at work etc... but too many "personality posters" as you put them are the ones who insult/mock those who decide to put the rumours on here. This is stopping people from writing what they have heard on the site which limits the content we read about. Another really stupid idea is a massive HCDAJFU thread. Once again, this is a forum. It should be a place to post relevant threads as and when they happen. I'm not going to trawl through 100 pages of rumours but if a thready was started about certain players it would get more banter going and more thrads read. When we signed Rickie Lambert I didnt know until the day after we signed him. Despite checking the forum on an almost daily basis, there were no threads about him apart from what was being said on the HCDAJFU thread. Surely the prospect of signing a player with the record Lambert had at this level when we signed him deserved a dedicated thread of its own? Basically, admin are trying to be too efficient and I agree, are perhaps also trying to please the masses by silencing the outspoken. I'm a big boy, I'll just choose not to read posts from clowns like Alps or SRS/DBP. Theres no point banning them and stopping them from posting altogether; they are Saints fans too and really that should be the only required criteria for posting on this forum.

Pretty sure they would be languishing around the lower mid table playing his usual brand on anti-football though. I cant say I would be over-enamoured if he was our manager and we are in League One. Let alone a club attracting around 50,000 fans a week who are famed for their attacking brand of football in recent times (last 20 odd years) and disregard for defensive duties, bit of a culture shock to them and was never really going to work out. That said, I've watched them a couple of times this season and last season on account of a lot of my family being Geordies and Mike Williamson who was once on our books looks quality.

I was in the West stand in the family enclosure most of the time on account of me only being a nipper but always wanted to sit in Archers. Did a few times but never got a season ticket there.
