  2. Absolutely incredible. I think they are officially every ones 2nd favourite team now. Fair play to Woy.
  3. I think thats fair enough. I'm up for having both players on our books but given the fees and wages in question and their respective ages, Antonio needs to be our number 1 priority over Papa.
  4. Absolutely. I think people need to look at things with a bit of perspective. That said, IF we had managed to sneak in to the play-offs, given our recent form you know we would have been in with a good shout of winning it. I dont know if I could have stomached a late surge to 6th place and then losing the play off final to someone like Swindon. For me I would prefer to keep our powder dry and storm the league next season. AP's got a big job on his hands to stop players becoming complacent however.
  5. and Quality
  6. One suspects its not quite as much as treating people who over drink and require kidney and liver transplants and stomach pumps etc...
  7. Be almost funny is Yeovil equalise given the delirium showed now and the despair some of you lot showed about 5 minutes ago...
  8. Well at least its been a great season up until now. Players obviously getting as frustrated as we are and lashing out. Never mind, always next season!
  9. Every time I encounter it, it surprises me more and more how much Bournemouth fans seem to dislike us. Surely it must grate with them that they are so insignificant to us that even if we are in the same division as them next season, I would see the Bournemouth match as "just another game". Remember my Dad (Newcastle fan) meeting a load of Bournemouth fans on a train when he was travelling back down from Newcastle and they were travelling back from an away game. He got talking to them and he mentioned he lived in Southampton and also looked out for our results and occasionally attends matches home and away. Bournemouth fans said to him "in Bournemouth we call Southampton fans 'Scummers'... what do you call us?". His reply was instant, deadpan and even funnier totally honest. "We dont even think about you" he said.
  10. Is it David Byrne?
  11. I met Kevin Keegan yesterday in Hammersmith! He was filming something in a barber shop and Ray Stubbs was there too, milling around but not being filmed. Thought about asking why he was there but thought it might be rude!
  12. This is not over. We are the form side. Huddersfield are limping to the line and have some tough fixtures remaining. They will be looking over their shoulder at us whilst we can just get our head down and see where 5 more wins in a row takes us...
  13. I agree. Despite Redknapp's best attempt at ruining his potential, Bale has shown good determination and was probably the best player on the park yesterday.
  14. If he's anything like you he'll be calling childline demanding they get him a new dad because his easter egg has not lived up to his very high expectations... What he's failed to realise is the slower he eats it, the better it will get. To the point where he will eventually find the egg inside the egg containing a toy and will eventually realise his Dad was right all along in buying the easter egg that he was initially complaining about.
  15. Oh no... Lallana's just equalised on the stroke of half time.... Thats inexcusable. Pardew out.
  16. He was unprofesionally unpaid as well. What on earth gives you a right to judge his appearance and how much he had to drink? He was there as a fan and was asked to play some tunes in return for a lift there and back by the organisers. I'm sure you'd have more tact and awareness than to say that to a persons face, why get so big and brave behind your computer?
  17. If you are able to bolt your load in to some soil it creates a plant which flowers and then grows a human, then yes I guess you can class yourself as a fruit as well.
  18. Hi all, I've just spoke with my Uncle who DJ'd this event. he is absolutely dismayed about some of the cutting and inaccurate comments that have been made towards him on this thread. He is about as big a Saints fan as you are likely to get and wants to go on record to say he agreed to do this "gig" as a favour and made no money at all from it. He has over 20 years of experience as a DJ and is very well known around the Southampton and Eastleigh areas as "Big D's Disco" or "Big Damon's Disco". I suspect a lot of you have probably been in attendance at one of his gigs previously. He did this as a favour to the organisers. The way it was sold to him is the event was costing so much for venue hire, extra staffing costs etc.. that no money could be offered for doing this but the opportunity to DJ in front of 2,000 fellow Saints supporters, interview a host of players from years gone by and the opportunity to soak up the pre and post match atmosphere in the supposed "Southampton Rocks Wembley" party was too good an offer for him to turn down. As a Southampton fan he did have a few drinks throughout the day which he was more than entitled to. He did the gig for free, why shouldnt he enjoy himself like everyone else was doing? He was also sucked in to believing the event was going to be professionally run as were most other people who have posted on this thread. He was told by the people running the event to get on the microphone to try and gee everyone up as well as playing the Southampton FC songs that kept being played. It should also be noted he was advised on the genre of music being played, being told it as going down a storm. Above all, he's a Saints fan who agreed to do a gig when asked for no personal gain to himself. It's all too easy to criticise behind a computer monitor and keyboard. What some of you need to realise is promises were made to us who attended about how great the event was going to be... why wouldnt the same be the case for the person DJing the event? He is genuinely sorry people didnt have a good time but having made no personal gain from doing this event feels its slightly unfair he is getting tarred with the same brush as those who organised the party and lined their pockets with a cool £20k.
  19. The banana plant can be classed as a herb but the banana in its natural state in a fruit. It has been cultivated to not contain seeds but in its original form it contains a seed, has flesh and has skin.
  20. Hi Dune, Get yourself over to the Big Easy on Kings Road in Chelsea. It's not quite central but close enough and their steak and meat it brilliant. As a footnote, someone replied to your original post saying save your money as pints cost £5. They are exactly the same price in London as you would expect to pay in Southampton. About £3.20 a pint.
  21. Spot on. Said my brain was 24 and I am 24!! How clever!
  22. Even better, it was actually 4-0!!!
  23. Watt are you going on about?
  24. Do you take the train from She Bu to Clapham (via where I live in Kensington Olympia) and then Clapham to Winch or Soton or do you go to Waterloo? The Clapham option is much quicker in case you dont do it already...
  25. Funny. I've just started working with a company called Utilyx who are very much in bed with nPower... maybe I can get on the corporate box gravy train with them...
