I'm actually in love with Lucy so back off!!! I'm also an ex Thorndenite.

    Ronaldo

The funny thing is he's probably one of the most dangerous players around in the air. Funny how he doesnt fall to the floor in agony when he's thumped in a header from a set piece isnt it?
  4. They play Fulham much??
  5. I think people are making a mountain out of a molar hill over this... Only thing I care about is Adkins having the wisdom to brace us for promotion.
  6. You arent per chance going with a lad called Boycie are you?! Leazes end (Sir John Hall Stand) is where the away fans sit, but they are so high up that unless you are up there with them there isnt much atmosphere. I've just come back from the Sunderland game on Sunday and the place was rocking wherever you sat. I'd personally advise on sitting behind either goal so other Gallowgate or Sir John Hall stand but if they get an early goal it wont matter where you sit! Enjoy your weekend!

    Ronaldo

Messi is a better player and better to watch, I'd still argue Ronaldo throughout the season is more effective.
  8. No question Walcott has improved but he is still massively reliant on that blistering pace. In my opinion once he starts picking up the muscle strains that inevitably come with players and his quickness decreases I think he will be finished. Not seen enough of ox-Cham but for god sake get him on as long term a contract as possible.
  9. Gutierrez at Newcastle has Jonas on his back as well.
  10. Just got back from Newcastle earlier today having gone up for a stag do this weekend. Went to the game and the atmosphere was electric. It was like when Rickie Lambert equalised last season against Pompey and the subsequent 5 or so minutes after until they scored again but for 90 whole minutes. Most people know I have a soft spot for Newcastle due to family ties but I also went with about 5 Saints season ticket holders as well who were amazed with the atmosphere and the buzz in the city after the game was brilliant. Not one Newcastle fan wants Hughton out. If the reports are true that Hughton's job is in jeopardy it is only coming from that idiot Mike Ashley and/or the press. Oh for the day we do Pompey 5-1.
  11. The Novatones are the boys. Rated by Liam Gallagher as well. No doubt some of you will see that as a bad thing. My mate Martin is their manager and is promoting the whole event.
  12. Total fallacy about Newcastle fans wanting Hughton out. Not one of them does, they love him up there. You will find the rumours circulating about Hughton under pressure have come from the press in an attempt to stir up trouble. Hughton has turned Newcastle in to a tough side to beat with a decent spine. Players like Coloccini, Williamson, Enrique, Barton, Nolan, Guthrie, Carroll etc have all improved under him and I know for a fact he is really popular amongst the fans up there.
  13. I think this thread has been well and truly over-egged now.
  14. Well spotted! That was my deal. For Bodeans in Fulham. The manager there is called Teagan and she's a bit of a minx. Insisted I tried the food for free, it was ridiculously good!

    Groin strain

My advice would be try not to sleep in awkward positions.
  16. My thoughts exactly. Anyone who thinks a former World Cup winner, part of the "Invincibles" Arsenal side and last season playing in La Liga for one of the better sides couldnt do a job for us is mental. He has forgotten more than Puncheon will ever know. If there was any chance, get him in!
  17. Because obviously Forbes would feature an internet scam... As I said, not every deal will be suited to you but 60-80% off a restuarant of as Bexy said, a massage for £9, it would be rude not to.
  18. Fascinating chapter in his auto-biography called "The average football director's knowledge of football..." The page is blank.
  19. Hi all, Thought you guys may want to take a look at this. I work for Groupon and we carry a deal from a lifestyle-related company every day with a minimum of 60% discount. I get no gain from promoting these deals to you but there are genuinely some pretty good ones every now and again for spas, restaurants and places to visit. As there are a few fellow Saints fans in London I'll post the London, Southampton and National deals. If anyone wants me to include any other citys for me to post just let me know. Admin, if you deem this as pushing a product let me know and I'll stop doing it but there genuinely are some really good deals that are worth taking advantage of. Groupon was featured in Forbes magazine in August as the fastest growing company ever. We've made £1bn quicker than any company including Facebook, Google, SaintsWeb etc... SOUTHAMPTON DEAL OF THE DAY: http://www.groupon.co.uk/deals/southampton LONDON DEAL OF THE DAY: http://www.groupon.co.uk/deals/london NATIONAL DEAL OF THE DAY: http://www.groupon.co.uk/deals/national-deal Happy bargain hunting folks!
  20. Peter Beardsley is up there for me. Watched him a number of times and his work-rate, touch, vision, passing ability etc... was just worlds apart from anything else on the pitch.
  21. I wonder if I am able to put money on him being our next manager? I'm not saying Adkins should get sacked but WGS will surely now move back down here, possibly getting involved with local media etc... His stock has now lowered considerably and I cant see any clubs in any rush to offer him a job. When Adkins leaves he will likely be a logical choice what with him most likely living locally and his past success with us. Good luck to him though, was brilliant for us. I just wish he wasnt so precious about his contract when Lowe brought it up.
  22. Barmaid in get paid to flirt to keep people coming back shocker...
  23. And just like us, if they carry on playing like they have recently, they too can be gracing League 1 with a shiny new stadium to impress Rochdale and Oldham fans with!

    The 90's

It was for me. Best sides to watch were Hoddles (dare I say it?!) side in a 5-3-2 formation with the likes of Bridge, Richards, Beattie, Oakley, Pahars etc... or Strachan's side in 2003 ish when we were just so damn hard to beat.
  25. jesus man, how many goes did you have?!
