  1. Not sure what the lead singer of Coldplay would give us to be honest. Mine would be; Lionel Messi Cristiano Ronaldo Xavi Andres Iniesta David Villa I'm not sure where Guly or Lallana would fit in but its the price you pay for having such a competitive squad I suppose.
  2. Disagree with this. Marsden actually did have pace in short bursts. He wasnt rapid but certainly wasnt slow. He also had a fantastic engine as well. Dont reckon he was under rated at all. Him and Bridge provided one of the best left flanks in the league under Strachan.
  3. I thought he was referring to http://www.gimpsgonewild.com
  4. shes got black eyes too.
  5. BBC Final Score is so unbelievably sub-standard compared with Sky.
  6. My accumalator's out the window early doors then.... lovely!
  7. Come on Saints....... WE can beat this Shhhhiiiittt!!!!!...................................................................... Ssshhhiiiitttt!!!!
  8. So in summary, to save myself the hassle of reading this whole thread, we shouldnt be happy until we've got the world team of the year playing for Saints?
  9. They played their most deadly rivals in Liverpool today and fielded Kuszczak, Evans, Carrick, Fletcher and Hernandez. That's half the team who probably wouldnt be in their "strongest" XI. Pretty sure a few more than that will be rested against us. And even if they dont, I couldnt give a toss about paying extra to watch superstars like Rooney, Giggs, Ferdinand, Vidic spank us in to next month. We'll give them a game and look competitive for the first 30 mins or so and in true Man Utd fashion they'll grind us down and win 4-0 or so. Nothing wrong with that, just dont see the sense in paying extra for the pleasure!
  10. There arent many division 3 clubs with our financial clout though. Quite simply, if Arsenal want him, they'll have to pay what Cortese is happy to accept. That said, if we are obligated to tell AOC that an offer is on the table and he wants to go, its academic.
  11. Really dont get the fuss. I couldnt think of anything I'd hate more than to shell out £40 to watch us get spanked by Man Utd's B team with their fans lording it over us. The only thing I'm excited about is giving Cortese the opportunity to see what Southampton in the Premier League would be like and hopefully he invites Liebherr's daughters/family so they can see it too.
  12. Guly!!!!!! Thank you and goodnight!
  13. Come on Saints... we sound like we are ripping them to shreds.
  14. Baaaaaarnaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaard get in!!!!!!
  15. Lambert off the bar!!!!
  16. I actually didnt think he was but commentator mentioned that that was the case.
  17. Murty referring to us as "we". Good lad.
  18. Nice touch. Ive gone for cottage pie.
  19. Commentator reckons Ormerod's being largely cheered and Euell booed. No surprises there then...
  20. Surprised Fonte isnt playing as he'd have kept Euell and Brett in his back pocket with his eyes closed. Confident we have got enough to do a job on them still. Really surprised Puncheon is playing but hopefully he's brought his Millwall form with him.
  21. Bless his cotton socks, poor little sausage. No way i can feel sorry for him but cant really blame him for going where the money is either. I'd stop watching football for £90k a week, let alone play it!
  22. For the record I agree and that stat doesnt surprise me at all. Jaidi is handy for some games at this level but Seabourne is also a much better talker. He is still relatively young also and will only get better.
  23. I have a feeling Colly will stick around for a while. He needs to and usually does when he's in this kind of position. Cook's just ran on to 99 as I type this. The boy is class. And he's out!!! Haha unbelievable. England are referring...... CHEATING AUSSIE BARRRSTARDS!!!!
  24. Thing is Holloway is surely going to be forced to rest a few of his players and their B team really isnt that good. I personally think we will turn them over.
  25. And us Southampton fans took the news of Stuart Gray and Steve Wigley managing us so graciously didnt we? The difference being Hughton got on with the job, gained player loyalty and got results which earned the respect of the Newcastle fans. I dare say had Wigley or Gray done the same we would have got behind them as well.
