Well OK, I should've said "not very good trolling". I should also say thank for repeatedly bumping this thread. In your own snall way, you're doing your bit to highlight this issue. That's fine.
-
Thanks for your approval. And you on keep trolling and belittling people's personal choices if that's what makes you happy.
-
It's a personal protest and that's just fine for the people who want to make decisions where they spend their money for personal reasons. You can try to belittle people's actions and beliefs all you like, it's you that looks stupid, not them.
-
Best thing to do is not buy a replica shirt and tell the club why. I wouldn't buy any UA stuff because of the reasons discussed in this thread.
-
I'd take a point!
-
Saints are in the same position as the majority of clubs in the Premier League. The first target is survival, then just maybe you have a good year and nick a Europa spot or a cup win. That is how it's been since the mid 80s and that's how it will always be. If fans of those clubs don't like it, go support a glory club. People who write 'articles' like this are detached from reality. Plenty of examples in there, I'll pick one "Their model was simple but brilliant: buy unpolished gems". If that was so easy, everybody would be at it. Guess what? Everybody is at it! Not one mention of the academy in there either, I seem to remember at one point their model was simple. Just train up world class players. Why can't we just do that again? It's so simple, easy! Any moron could do it!
-
Which is a long winded way of saying you can't/wont back up your assertions. This is a pointless thread.
-
OK, now also prove your original assertion that "our wage bill is c£100 million a year". And prove "One of the most expensive squads in Europe", you can start with comparison with every other Premier League club. After all that, maybe we can actually have a debate about the facts
-
No, that our squad cost £300 million and "I suspect we are easily top 10 in squad cost".
-
Prove it
-
All Premier League clubs have one of the most expensive squads and one of the highest wage bills in Europe...
-
Ah OK, it wasn't at all clear you were trying to by funny. Just in case you aren't being serious again, the clue as to what soap and sanitory pads have in common is easily understood if you look at the definition of the word sanitory: "relating to the conditions that affect hygene and health" Not sure if you are aware that is also the purpose of soap, just playing it safe!
-
It would save a tiny, insignificant fraction of what a Premier League player is payed in a week. If you're that bothered by it, why not start a campaign to get rid of the soap from all toilets. You don't sound like the kind of person that uses it anyway. Think of the money they could save!

He has the ability but needs direction. If he were able to play alongside Fonte, he would've developed fast and be off to Liverpool in no time!

Great Escapes - past and present ... is this the best ?

Sounds like you weren't at St Mary's 3-0 against Leeds with 20 mins to go... -

For me, last night was the 2nd best due to the goings on over the last few games. The thrashing at Newcastle and then the Chelsea defeat. I had totally given up until the Bournemouth win, it's the hope that kills you! I felt terrible all of yesterday as the game got closer. I felt physically sick in the first half when we were under the kosh. The game last night was as tense and exciting a game as you'll ever see followed of course by the right result. I cannot contemplate how I would feel now if we'd lost. The best of all time? Surely the fez day at Wimbledon? -
Stoke haven't won a game since January. So thank you Stoke. West Brom went from January to April without winning a game. So thank you West Brom. Leicester have been on the beach for the last few weeks, helping us with a point. So thank you Leicester. Everton went on a shocking run, culminating in their defeat to us earlier in the season. So thank you Everton.

Sorry, I thought you were saying that the old codgers had no right to complain about people in front of them standing. Clearly I misunderstood you.
-
Some of those old codgers, like my mother have held season tickets for over 50 years. Your lack of respect is disgusting.

Drums/a band are great as long as you're not sitting next to them

(If we go down) what will you miss about the Premierleague?
southamptonfc replied to Wiggles31's topic in The Saints
Being able to watch some of the world's best players off the ball to try to pick up a few tips and tricks. Other than that, looking forward to the Championship and hopefully being a competitive side again. -
We finished 2016/2017 with 46 points, our 5th highest Premier League finish. Your expectations are out of touch with the reality of today's Premier League for a club like Saints. A typical fan comment but it's not the way the pros think. Did you know that in the dressing room for at least the Adkins and Pock era was a single slogan in the Saint's dressing room? "Goals win games, defense wins championships" Once again, your expectations aren't in touch with reality. You'd be better off supporting a glory club.
-
By any measure 1 of our top 5 Premier League finishes. 46-50 points will be good enough again for 8th this season which is what Leicester are set for. Are you a recently converted Man U fan? You seem to have a sense of entitlement that normally only comes with supporters of the 'big 5'
-
You have no proof of that. JWP like him and you can see it in the way he developed under Puel. One of the reasons they brought Puel in was his record of developing younger players.
