  1. Twice as likely as 0 chance is still 0 chance.
  2. Not a chance that we'll sign Broja. I wish it wasn't true but he's too good. I think he would score goals, probably lots of goals at every level in any of the top 6 clubs. We can't afford the transfer fee or the wages.
  3. I didn't go to the game today because my Dad (knee replacement required) was worried about the queues and possible jostling - we both went to the Euro final at Wembley which was a bit chaotic at the gates! What was the system like? How long did you have to queue for? Thanks
  4. I wonder if anybody who thought 8th wasn't good enough Puel should be sacked would take 8th this season?
  5. This is open and unashamed corruption.
  6. Well OK, I should've said "not very good trolling". I should also say thank for repeatedly bumping this thread. In your own snall way, you're doing your bit to highlight this issue. That's fine.
  7. Thanks for your approval. And you on keep trolling and belittling people's personal choices if that's what makes you happy.
  8. It's a personal protest and that's just fine for the people who want to make decisions where they spend their money for personal reasons. You can try to belittle people's actions and beliefs all you like, it's you that looks stupid, not them.
  9. Best thing to do is not buy a replica shirt and tell the club why. I wouldn't buy any UA stuff because of the reasons discussed in this thread.
  10. I'd take a point!
  11. Saints are in the same position as the majority of clubs in the Premier League. The first target is survival, then just maybe you have a good year and nick a Europa spot or a cup win. That is how it's been since the mid 80s and that's how it will always be. If fans of those clubs don't like it, go support a glory club. People who write 'articles' like this are detached from reality. Plenty of examples in there, I'll pick one "Their model was simple but brilliant: buy unpolished gems". If that was so easy, everybody would be at it. Guess what? Everybody is at it! Not one mention of the academy in there either, I seem to remember at one point their model was simple. Just train up world class players. Why can't we just do that again? It's so simple, easy! Any moron could do it!
  12. Which is a long winded way of saying you can't/wont back up your assertions. This is a pointless thread.
  13. OK, now also prove your original assertion that "our wage bill is c£100 million a year". And prove "One of the most expensive squads in Europe", you can start with comparison with every other Premier League club. After all that, maybe we can actually have a debate about the facts
  14. No, that our squad cost £300 million and "I suspect we are easily top 10 in squad cost".
  15. Prove it
  16. All Premier League clubs have one of the most expensive squads and one of the highest wage bills in Europe...
  17. Ah OK, it wasn't at all clear you were trying to by funny. Just in case you aren't being serious again, the clue as to what soap and sanitory pads have in common is easily understood if you look at the definition of the word sanitory: "relating to the conditions that affect hygene and health" Not sure if you are aware that is also the purpose of soap, just playing it safe!
  18. It would save a tiny, insignificant fraction of what a Premier League player is payed in a week. If you're that bothered by it, why not start a campaign to get rid of the soap from all toilets. You don't sound like the kind of person that uses it anyway. Think of the money they could save!
  19. He has the ability but needs direction. If he were able to play alongside Fonte, he would've developed fast and be off to Liverpool in no time!
  20. Sounds like you weren't at St Mary's 3-0 against Leeds with 20 mins to go...
  21. For me, last night was the 2nd best due to the goings on over the last few games. The thrashing at Newcastle and then the Chelsea defeat. I had totally given up until the Bournemouth win, it's the hope that kills you! I felt terrible all of yesterday as the game got closer. I felt physically sick in the first half when we were under the kosh. The game last night was as tense and exciting a game as you'll ever see followed of course by the right result. I cannot contemplate how I would feel now if we'd lost. The best of all time? Surely the fez day at Wimbledon?
  22. Stoke haven't won a game since January. So thank you Stoke. West Brom went from January to April without winning a game. So thank you West Brom. Leicester have been on the beach for the last few weeks, helping us with a point. So thank you Leicester. Everton went on a shocking run, culminating in their defeat to us earlier in the season. So thank you Everton.
  23. See previous post!
  24. Sorry, I thought you were saying that the old codgers had no right to complain about people in front of them standing. Clearly I misunderstood you.
  25. Some of those old codgers, like my mother have held season tickets for over 50 years. Your lack of respect is disgusting.
