Redmond definitely has potential but I'm not sure if he will ever be a centre-forward. I think he would be excellent playing behind a front 2 with 2 defensive midfielders as cover. That would allow him to use his pace to get into the box and worry defenders.

If you think Puel should be sacked, you should ask yourself with the forwards we have available, which mangager do you think would've had us higher than 10th at this point of the season. The buy low, sell high strategy hasn't worked this year, it's that simple. Very little of those decisions are Puel's fault. If we had 2 decent centre-forwards, we'd be mixing it up in 5th/6th place now.

If he's willing to take a massive wage cut, I'm sure he'd do a job for us but come January we probably more urgently need a striker and I fear 1 or 2 centre backs!

It's a sad state of affairs but I can't see how (apart from winning it and qualifying for the Champions League) an EL campaign will be good for the club this season. From a financial point of view, the EL is pointless. Less than £10M earned by the winners compared to £97M for finishing bottom in the Premier League this season! Currently our squad is not as strong as last season and I fear a long EL campaign risks getting us involved in a relegation scrap. It comes down to what you want to get out of supporting Saints, my heart wants a great EL run with hopes of getting to the final but my head says we're better off going out in the group stages and/or playing reserve sides.
