4 million for a club legend? What price relegation if this is what we have to look forward to with this board.
-
I'd say the Keegan boost would be moderate with this bunch of players most of which would have still been at school the last time he actually managed anyone! Think we need to be looking for, dare I say it "the next mopo" style manager. Who he is though I'm not entirely sure!

Mayuka targeting Southampton return after Sochaux loan.....
Stu Man Do replied to doddisalegend's topic in The Saints
Not sure you can go that far, he showed flashes of a half decent player, spurs at home as well as villa he looked alright. Not sure he'll make it here though, bit of an odd signing really. -
So it's looking a lot like Liverpool will be the new owners of the southampton team next season then right? What's that now 70 odd million of spending on saints players!?
-
How did we not get a penalty for that handball?! The shout at the end with Clyne looked worth a replay at the very least! On another note was that co-commentator the most one sided one of the season?! Today goes to show just how important J-Rod has been to us in recent times, surely a valid case for bringing through one of the youth team boys with a bit of pace? Rowe, Simms or Sinclair for a bench spot maybe?

Adam Lallana nominated for PFA Pplayer of the year
Stu Man Do replied to Ewell's topic in The Saints
Congrats to both the guys but I have a sneaky feeling it'll be either Gerrard if they win the league or Suarez otherwise and I think Barkley will win the young player on the basis that he seems to be getting even more hype than Luke -
Glasgow if you know all the answers why bother asking the questions? You sneer at every suggestion of aiming above our "natural"level yet surely that's part of being a professional sports team? If we didn't aim to be top of every league we were in whats the point of taking part?! Let's hope we do seriously try and make the top four and if it does happen by being an organically grown team all the better!

Instead of just being the clichéd troll why not actually respond to the question I asked you? Utterly arrogant and hardly saintly response from your good self.

What exactly would you have done differently then Alps? We were disappointing but with what we had on the bench I'm not sure what else we could have changed. Think we probably have to put this down to "one of them days" and be grateful that its a game that essentially had nothing riding on it. Thought Lovren had a funny 10 mins and along with Clynes error that rocked us badly. JWP as a centre mid? Not sure on that one myself but how many people would have been happy with Reed playing the 90 mins?

Don't know if this is helpful to any one else but this site was pretty useful for me. They deal with many of the different companies such as parking eye with ideas on how to appeal and win ... Apparently. http://www.parkingcowboys.co.uk/popla/

And you'd take Begovic despite the fact he allowed a cross shot to bounce over him?
-
Surprised any Saints fans would bother to follow him. Constantly hours behind any half decent hacks or in fact completely wrong! Lets not forget just a couple of weeks ago his headline was that we were in melt down! How's that story working out Alex?

FA Cup 5th round draw thread (Sunderland Away)
Stu Man Do replied to rickylambert's topic in The Saints
How exciting not. 4 times against them this season! Yawn. -
Almost as bad as that Alex Crook guy. What a poor standard of journalism there is about nowadays! "I assume this" , "My source tells me that". Just report the facts chaps , we're all capable of having a guess!

Serious question can you think of ONE example of where you have actually seen one of our players call the ref anything like that, somewhere in the recent past if you will! Can think of plenty of Rooney occasions on Motd but can't remember a saints player ever getting caught out swearing directly at the ref.
-
Apart from the fact the saints press officer tweeted that Clattenburg had told him he'd seen it and had decided it wasn't a peno? If he didn't see it that's just part of the game but you'd have to question why an official of the club would lie about something like that. If what's been reported is accurate though it does sound a bit weak for the club to argue the toss over, much better to have highlighted the numerous poor decisions the refs made in our games in the last year or so.
-
Would reckon that if fit, Guly will most definitely get on the bench again before the year is out. Handy squad player if nothing else and although people moan about *THAT* "challenge" at FP he's been decent for us.
-
I will always remember that one time where his long throw actually worked for us vs Sunderland. I was there. Heady days indeed. Oh yeah his goal vs Spurs was also pretty good!

Saints v Skates, F.A. Youth Cup Third Round, Match Thread FULL TIME 7-0!
Stu Man Do replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
4-0 then Hesketh haha -
As someone else mentioned his distribution for long kicks is good however his short passing is cack! Last night 3 times he sand wedged a short ball over an attacker which put a defender in all sorts of problems! Eventually led to their second. You would have thought he'd have learnt his lesson on that one after Swansea at home last year.

What will the Northam sing now? Not sure Awford scans very well!!
-
Lambert not in the game really yet and we need to get AL more of the ball. JRod playing really well that little spin and run early 1st half was great to watch showing the England hammering he was given by the press has not had an effect! How many teams go to Arsenal and equal them for possession? Lets hope we can up our game another level 2nd half and get back in this
-
Might help if the Northam singers of this paced it like the Celtic fans did rather than their usual 100000000000mph version of every song.
-
Personally I'd keep the same team as vs Fulham. Lambert and JRod took the **** up there last year in the first half and if we'd known what a defence was that day we would have won easily.
