I had a guess at the Leeds side in the early 2000's under O'leary (whatever happens to him?!) I believe they still (?) have the record for youngest average team age over the course of a season and they made the semis of the champs league so didn't seem to affect them too badly! I have no idea how many of that young team where from the Leeds academy though.

In fairness they are probably used to it by now what with Adebayors wages last season. Huge amount of money but will probably score a load there with the palace wingers. Hard to judge what is a reasonable transfer fee norm now with this new to deal. Serious question how do you see the Moshiri takeover going? For all the talk of a billionaire owner (we also have one) would you want your team splurging 100m in one go and buying your success or would you prefer the saints approach of gradually building upon each season? Who would you have wanted as manager if you were chairman? Will you be able to hold on to the likes of lukaku now this takeovers been done?

Dire. Remember his start against Aston villa in the cup, no physicality, no pace, no obvious skills. Good to get him off of the age bill. A risk worth taking but obviously hasn't paid off and hopefully he can do better back in Spain. Watch him score 20 this season now haha!

Just for your information ... Saints have finished above Everton more than twice and at least 2 other seasons since the prem started you finished a massive one points above us. A little point perhaps but for all of Evertons obvious History you lot haven't exactly been a powerhouse since the premier league began. I've seen a few people ar calling to utilise the "Spurs link" in the squad and I do get they had a decent season but the way they cracked under pressure at the end hardly inspires confidence. Do think RB should be in ahead of Rose though who seems to be a bit of a headless chicken. Bale will be looking forward to that match up!

Didn't Ricardo Fuller do similar when at Stoke. Game was at home he'd taken some stick and I remember he even got to the ball first and had a shot which narrowly missed! Both a bit cheeky!
