Why would Green come here? He knows Davies is first choice and no way is he about to play second fiddle to another veteran. He wants a BIG team and BIG money and we don't qualify on either count. This whole loan business puzzles me. Going out on loan is an euphemism for "He isn't as good as we thought he was so let's see if he will respond to a different manager and set-up (mugs) so that we can off-load him at the end of the season" If you disagree, think back to last year and that Spurs "highly rated whizz" (name escapes me) who played for us only once and then disappeared without trace. Is he now playing for Spurs? Is he Ballacks!

Anybody who's played in the first team this season we should keep unless they are out of contract. They deserve a chance to have a crack at the PL before they are arbitrarily labelled as no=hoper's and chucked out. It'll be a bitter enough pill to swallow for regulars like Chaplow and de Ridder who might get displaced by the so-called "quality we need to bring in" (according to brain-dead Savage). WE are Southampton.., WE are a decent fair-minded club for whom effort and loyalty means something.

Dead right mate! If we buy anybody they should be young with real long term potential. No doubt the usual PL journeymen will be queuing up to leave the three sinking ships and join us or Reading but we must resist the urge. Once a failure etc, we just don't need idol rich boys who take the **** for money. Adam Lallana is right, of the three clubs that went up last year the one doing least well is the one (QPR) that bought in "big names" and totally disrupted their team. The others stuck with what they had and my oh! my they are both mid-table and being admired for their free flowing football. That's how we should be.. who's better than our current lads for the money we can afford to spend anyway.
