The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.

A lot of your questions seem to involve things along the lines of how can you improve something without having to pay for it. If you don't mind me saying, that's a typical Tory position. Anyway, you now have the biggest tax burden this country has seen since the 70's and you're still seeing things get worse. I'd say we've got to the position that frankly any party would probably be an improvement over the current lot but I suspect that ideologically you simply don't want to vote Labour even if the Tories under Johnson are a complete disaster. -
Having to put subtitles on virtually every drama and film. I’m not going deaf, it’s actors mumbling their lines in the pursuit of authenticity. Fucking annoying.

Presumably you'd be in favour of him going because he created rules that were ridiculous and should never have been implemented then? -
Don’t forget the maverick alcoholic divorced detective who gets the job done but doesn’t play by the rules consequently upsetting the hierarchy above him.

I don't think that's true unless you mean Solent? I've no idea what their numbers are but UoS numbers are up as far as I'm aware. -
I reckon we'll be back in for either Tete or Anjorin the Chelsea lad who went on loan to Huddersfield (or both). Tete is only at Lyon till the end of the season so probably nothing or fairly cheap (imagine there wouldn't be a fee?). No idea how either are getting on although Anjorin seems to have been injured most of the time.

Of course it is although I find it ironic that you're expressing support of free speech for an MP who is using that right to call for the church of england to be denied that very same right. -

It'll be interesting to see how he spins this. Up till now the only thing he's apologised for is giving the perception that he didn't follow the law, not that he actually did break it. I imagine he'll apologise with a smirk on his face and say he's far too busy raising the cost of living to consider resigning. -

Not the best examples of either kits but probably Ajax current one. As someone else pointed out, kits that are more white than red seem to look better to me.

Don't really know much about Tete but if he's more like a traditional winger then I'd expect him to show some good early promise before Ralph gets him to concentrate on working against the ball and an emphasis on tracking back. Obviously hope he's great but I'm not sure that wingers are particularly suited to the 4222 formation - if you look at Redmond, Djenepo and Walcott none of them impress quite as much as they would do in a traditional winger role (and, yes, I'm aware that all of those have issues besides being traditional wingers). Just think that players like Stuart Armstrong and Elynoussi who are more like converted midfielders seem to perform a bit better in that role. Anyway, good thing about this (if true) is that presumably it'll give him a bit of time to settle into the area and club ahead of pre-season even if he can't play for us. I guess we can also pick up the £400 a month for Ukrainian refugee money that's on offer which is nice.

I really don't think what Biden said makes any difference at all. We're supplying military aid to Ukraine, we're giving them intelligence and we're bankrolling them. Those things in themselves are enough for him to justify whatever he wants to, if he chooses to. Putin is a cunt who doesn't even need a reason to invade - he just makes shit up so the idea that he'll get his knickers in a twist over some off the cuff remarks is a bit far fetched. Only people bothered are news wonks and diplomats.

Prefer that to the Denmark style one.

Yeah, figured it was that and does show up a weakness in the UN governance.
-
I’m sure someone can tell me but why isn’t a UN peacekeeping force being considered? That could at least help with humanitarian corridors and might make Russian military think twice about some of the shit they’re doing. It’s a decent way of helping without directly engaging against Russian troops.

That's going to hurt him, I imagine he'll rethink his whole stance on Ukraine now...........

Why not? it's not a particularly tricky word to pronounce even for a slough born Albanian.

Probably misunderstood but Livramento scored against Burnley didn't he? Shouldn't that mean he's roughly on the same level as KWP (both scoring once in the premier league), and Cash should top that section having scored twice although having played slightly more?
-
Genuine question but how many of these oligarchs already have most of their cash stashed in off shore tax havens that presumably they can still access? I know a lot has been made about all the sanctions that have been imposed but no one has really mentioned about the off shore stuff.

Southampton has never been a socialist bordering on Stalinist state. I doubt you even know what those terms mean because if you did, you wouldn't be using them. I suspect you may be suffering from dementia.

Settling out of court isn't exactly clearing his name. Looks more guilty than ever now.

If Munira Mirza has been with Boris for 14 years then she must hold the record for the longest period of time in contact with him and not bearing him a child. The whole Starmer/Savile thing was pure Trumpian deflection designed to divert attention away from accusations that he's a liar. Unfortunately that only really works if you have friendly press like FOX news who will lap that stuff up. As far as I can see all media outlets have slapped him down so he's ended up in a situation where in order to deflect from people calling him a liar, he has highlighted an issue that he can be accused of repeating lies on. Great work. -

This is the price you pay for being successful in identifying prospects and then developing them. Yeah, it's frustrating but you make a profit which can be reinvested and you also add to your reputation and make it more likely to attract players who can replace them. I'd rather be in a position where we're trying to fend off offers for players than having a shedload we simply can't get rid of. -
It only saves them a fortune if they actually play him which means that one of their established players is on the bench and if they have a talented kid coming through then their pathway is blocked. Liverpool have Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones - neither are first team players and signing Carvalho will hamper their chances of first team football and developing as players. If Carvalho is going as a first team player then fair enough but if he isn't then it's to his own detriment - he'll end up like Loftus-Cheek with the occasional appearance, some loan spells and eventually drift off to lesser clubs. Sessegnon is another example - he played 10 times for Spurs in his first season and has failed to live up to his early promise. Would he have been better going to a club with less resources and less competition? Who knows but I think he would have been a better player if he had.
