  1. I don't think it's worth the risk LV. They can fine you big time and they need the money! Find your local British shop and buy it from them - plus plenty of other stuff. I regularly bring back cheese, biscuits, tea and other things but would stop at bacon. I also like to bring Branston pickle but you have to be careful with it and double pack in plastic bags as it doesn't like to fly. I found this out by opening my bag and thinking a small dog had pooped in my bag!!
  2. Maybe staff are not scared but perhaps honouring a commitment to keep confidential details of any changes/news until confirmed or released to the public. This is perfectly normal and expected of any employee. Not everyone wants to betray their company by gobbing off about confidential proprietary information.

  4. Good advice so far! The short game is where you lower your scores. Chipping and putting is what I have to work on the most. See if you can borrow a 10.5 driver as this may help, and try altering your grip a little by moving your right hand round a little more to the right (if you have a slice)
  5. what a firking stupid thread - yet again.
  6. This is a private company and as such they can operate it in whatever way they think best. If Stu/SBP doesn't like the CEO and his methods, so what! Go somehwere else. If crowds drop because of Stu and his multiple personalities, then maybe ML or NC will take a new direction. For the time being I think ML will stick with NC and resist the telephone call to Stu/SBP for advice. I think provided the team are successful, support will remain strong despite a few moans from the few. Time to move on.
  7. Agreed. 0.013p per day or $0.019 in my case, is bugger all to pay for the opportunity to read and comment about SFC, BS a little, and have some banter. Some people always want something for nothing.
  8. I feel sorry for him due to his circumstances..but surely to owe so much to the tax man is simply not right. This is money that the country badly need and let's face it even with paying tax he would have earnt way more than most in the country. Most people have no choice to pay tax as it is deducted before receipt of any earnings.
  9. just interested that's all! I thought Gillette would have found a home by now but it's still early days I suppose
  10. Any news on where our released players are headed next season? (club wise!)
  11. Let us all hope this is the end of the financial wisdom, corporate wizardry, ego trip from Lord Romsey.
  12. I do
  13. I seem to remember the Indian Cottage was a little further down the road towards Portswood and was another last call. God did that place give me the poops the next day.
  14. Happy Days!
  15. BAE Systems is more US than Brit also
  16. Trying to drive down Hill Lane on a Saturday afternoon!
  17. This is all about politics and wanting to score points. Most people in my area and on the tv just refer to BP and don't give a stuff about being Brit or otherwise. This is a first for this type of spill and fixing the leak is another first as it's so deep. Obama is showing the world that despite his election promises he is just another politician.
  18. Having a beer in the players bar on a Monday night Taking the **** out of Venison's jacket!
  19. I am referring to the one in Bevois Valley. Free sandwiches and if you got lucky maybe a Chinese ()
  20. If we didn't have the investment we now have he would have been a good addition. I prefer we strive for players better than those that Leeds and Colchester discard. We can and will do better.
  21. Whatever happened to the casino some of 'us' would stumble in to for another last drink and the occasional sandwich many years ago?
  22. Visiting the beaches and surrounding museums in Normandy should be something everyone does at some stage. Particularly the yoof - Europe and USA. The gravestones serve as a permanent reminder of how so many kids sacrificed their lives.
  23. And how exactly do you get out of the third division? Just go the end of ML's garden and visit the money tree??? This is a business not a charity. Perhaps you should support a local park team and not pay any money to watch - or would you complain about not having free buses to the games? Even non league VT and Totton have to charge for games, programmes, etc.
  24. The installment plan was a 'perk'. Funny how BA crew are getting slagged off for striking about a lack of perks by the same people on here who have lost the 'perk' of installment payments.....
  25. DO NOT SLAG OFF THE COMPANY OR MANAGEMENT! If you do you are inviting problems in the future. You may want them to give you references or even another job at some stage. Simply confirm you are submitting your resignation and your period of notice, giving the final date you will be working. You don't need to state the reason for leaving. One sentence saying how you enjoyed working there and best wishes for the future is also a nice touch. Slagging off management either written or verbally is a mistake - no matter how good or bad they are, no matter how right you are. As a manager and a director both in UK and USA for a number of years, trust me, you never know what can happen in the future.
