Placing towels on sun loungers is now common place the world over. Brits do it as much as the Jerrys, as do Yanks, French, etc. You either get up early and 'reserve' your own or deal with it. Hotels need to establish a policy on this problem. I think if no one is using the 'reserved' bed by 10.30/11am then the towels are removed - this would stop a lot of the problem.

Depends upon your plans for the day after. If not going to work: Lager shandys, then progress to straight lager. Include salt and vinegar crisps or other fatty food. If going to work: coke/pepsi and crisps Anadin Extra works very well as it has aspirin, paracetamol and caffeine. (I always stock up on this from Sainsburys when over!) Everybody is different but the best cure is to get "back on the horse" asap.

Had them over here for a long time and they work well for the most part. I am most surprised that the petrol pumps in Blighty are not yet changed to the self pay types - at least I have not seen one on my travels. They are a true time saver.

Perhaps every one should get paid exactly the same. Every should get a free state apartment. Every one should dress the same. Every one should think the same. Ask the Chinese and North Koreans what that is like?

I would imagine his salary is linked to many bonus type payments such as points by Xmas, promotion, etc. NC will have used his experience from his banking days to structure a performance related pay package.
