We will hand the Malvinas over to the Argies as soon as there is a hint that they will invade again (which everything points to), because the government will weaken us so much that there is no way we could fight back. It'll be the biggest defeat since Iraq (If you disagree with that comment, watch 'Secret Iraq' on the BBC iplayer.) Morale is already pretty low in the armed forces; Pay freezes for the next two years, and then jobs at risk, knowing if you go to war you'll probably lose, poor/worn out kit, no political backing, pensions are probably going to get cut, etc... While I know most people may say that 'i've had a pay freeze' or 'my job is at risk' the big difference is nobody is relying on you to maybe fight (and die) for your country. If you don't feel valued by your country - which in general the armed forces don't feel they are - then your morale is going to take a big hit. Morale has always been a big factor of why our armed forces have been so good in the past. We were lucky the last time the Falklands kicked off. If we hadn't had American sidewinder missiles our Harriers would have struggled. We no longer have a fleet air arm air-to-air capability, so we would be entirely dependant on the Typhoons that are land based. One bomb on the runway, or a daring commando raid (already signs that the Argies HAVE been landing Special Forces onto the Falklands) could remove our air defences. So what are we left with - the Type 45 destroyer. One of the most advanced air defence destroyers in the world we are told.... except it has no missiles yet. And the 42's are too old and the remaining ones will probably be retired early as well. The type 23 frigates have a defensive anti aircraft capability, but it is no use for air defence of a task group, as thats not the type 23's role.

Why would two men "from Southampton and Romsey" end up on a train in Salisbury? All sounds a bit odd.

We'll walk League 2 next year....

Can't disagree with that. Maybe the front line should be Lambert and Beckford, as no-one - not even the commentators golden boy Rooney - looks to have any interest in going for goal.

Utter garbage. There are so many better teams than us in the competition. It'll be a blessing to go out in the group stages, rather than be humiliated in the knockout stages. Capello is to blame for taking so many unfit players. And Heskey - seriously when was the last time he scored in any competition? The most he would score in the whole competition is maybe one goal - and that would probably go in off his arse. The defence is shocking, total strangers to each other.

So they have indeed gotten away with it. CHEATS. We can only hope that HMRC appeals take so long that it completely ruins their season, so that we have at least some hope of beating them in the 2011/12 season

Now if my memory serves me correctly, didn't they have to have a CVA agreed before the date they join the football league (3 June?) of they would have another points penalty? The 14 days notice would make it the 10th June to vote on the CVA by the creditors. From the article: It is likely the CVA proposal will be sent out to creditors tomorrow morning, ahead of the planned creditors' committee meeting to be held with administrators tomorrow afternoon. After the CVA proposal is sent out, creditors will be given 14 days notice of a meeting of all the club's creditors. At this meeting, creditors will vote on whether to agree fully, agree conditionally or refuse the deal the administrators are offering.
