  1. Then there's William Shatner's version of Mr Tambourine Man. OMG!
  2. Try ABE books. Listings from second-hand bookstores in NA and UK. http://www.abebooks.com/
  3. Something In the Air - what a great single that was! Their album (produced by Pete Townshend) was great, too.
  4. That's great! Thanks.
  5. Maurice Jarre: he wrote the original music for over 50 movies, including Lawrence of Arabia and Dr. Zhivago.
  6. Why the concern? Because we obvioulsy don't have a lock yet on second place. We're doing well, but so are the other teams around us. If we don't get automatic promotion via second place, then it means the play-offs. Even if we're the in-form, "best" team by the time the play-offs come around, that doesn't mean we'll win the play-offs (obviously). And those games-in-hand are no guarantee - look what happened at Walsall! So, yeah, lots to be concerned about!
  7. Nice slip of the tongue. I presume you meant 'revel'. And by revelling in the defeat, they do often reveal quite a bit about themselves!
  8. Stevie Wonder! The first concert I went to. At the Gaumont in Southampton in the winter of '68-'69. Then I saw him open for The Rolling Stones in 1972 at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto. Here's an interesing home movie by Jim Price from the 1972 tour. It shows Stevie Wonder's band and the Stones on stage together doing Uptight and Satisfaction. Cool! http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5427017313299931692#
  9. ad hominem Attack the ideas, not the person.
  10. Was he as god as Le Tissier?
  11. Do you thank people who serve you in a pub? In a restaurant? In a shop? Why thank them, when they're getting paid? I suppose you scowl and grumble and stomp out?
  12. Really?! Is that a safe assumption? Time to shift from entitlement mode to gratitude mode, methinks.
  13. Seize the Prime Minister?
  14. I always recommend albums, rather than songs (shows my age, eh?!). So, if you're into the rocky side of jazz-rock, try their second album, Coutdown to Ecstasy (fantastic - my favourite!); if you lean towards the jazzy side of jazz-rock, try their sixth album, Aja (most people's favourite, apparently).
  15. That's the name of the club. It's not a motto; and it's not in Latin.
  16. Very simple: we should practise set-pieces at both ends of the pitch. Forget the conundrum, just do it! Practice makes perfect, etc., etc. P.S. We scored from at least two set-pieces last game.
  17. 3 wins and 2 draws?
  18. ... love and height... ?
  19. Someone should explain that we read left-to-right, top-to-bottom. So, if it does say anything, it's ZOIN, not ZION. But it's silly, anyway. If they really do believe that nonsense, let them boycott. No response required - they just need to be laughed at. A terrible logo, btw.
  20. One step at a time!
  21. You didn't read the OP, did you? [nos es excrementum]
  22. semper ubi sub ubi
  23. Come on Saints Player!
  24. The Guns of Navarone is a good action film, but much of the script and acting is terrible. Having said that, I still give it a watch once every few years.
