  1. Because we sat bsck and let them dictate after we scored. Same ss we only drew against Leicester and nearly threw it away against Boscombe. But some people still think things are going well this season.
  2. If we continue to rest on our laurels snd bssk in past glories then we could. I doubt it will happen but blind faith as dome on here have is not the answer. Things need to chsnge.
  3. You forgot Points Palace 3 Saints 0
  4. What a load of absolute garbage. One decent season? More like 5, maybe 6. "**** happens we can't do anything about it we need to know our place", absolute crap. Reactions like this are so utterly pathetic. we haven't got beaten a few time, we have won only 5 league games this season, and have 1 draw from our last 5, that isn't just "luck" its because we have regressed and have forgotten how to get results and have too many players that don't turn up.
  5. One draw (against bottom club) and 4 defeats from our last 5 games, is a dreadful run. People need to wake up and see that we are not progressing, we are going backwards.
  6. I know Gazza had a lol moment of some sort when I was out of earshot just now, but he has probably made more saves in this game than Stek has made all season. Fair play.
  7. Apparently part of the problem is that he is still having dead leg issues from a couple of years ago. He is not happy that Saints medical staff have not managed to resolve the issue.
  8. Progress, we have regressed, we are lower mid table standard now.
  9. Tosh. Even Koeman has said otherwise.
  10. Although having 3 CBs in the starting line up/formation it is odd not having Caulker on the bench. It means any injury to any of the CBs means we will have to change formation.
  11. The point is that most clubs would not have Gazzanigga or Davis anywhere near their first team squad, especially when one of the senior keepers is out long term. No one is seriously suggesting having Gazza and Davis and Stek and FF.
  12. Why? Surely when discussing the line-up in the build up is when people should moan about the line up. If they are proven wrong, fine. More annoying are the ones who just meekly accept everything that is done and don't have a view on whether it is good or bad. The ones that come on afterwards and say that line up was rubbish are also annoying. Today's line up looks like a disaster waiting to happen, but then that's the problem with not having decent keeper backup when we knew we were only likely to have one first choice keeper available for most of the season (the news coming out of the training ground suggests FF may be back sooner than expected). It could have been worse, at least its Gazza and not Captain Slow. Guess that Yoshida is playing CB, that's fine, and dropping Pelle is something we should have done more often in the past.
  13. Most would if they had the same fitness and conditioning regimes as nowadays, and many would be better than today's players because they were more technically gifted as well.
  14. Maybe its Ronald thats on crack.
  15. More likely that JRod has not provided that competition and isn't likely to much this season.
  16. Standing still would mean we finish 7th. Do you think we will achieve that?
  17. On the subject of injuries, spotted this odd little snippet in the Mail today. The only link I can find online is on wixsports where it is buried as part 2 of an article about Giggs: http://wixsports.com/when-louis-van-gaal-leaves-manchester-united-ryan-giggs-is-still-the-man-to-beat/ but here is the piece in full: Gaston Ramirez is so fed up with his treatment by Southampton’s medical department that he is now paying for his own specialist to resolve a long-standing issue of a dead leg. Ramirez, who spent last season on loan with Hull City, has not played for Ronald Koeman’s team since the 2-1 victory over Aston Villa in the Capital One Cup on October 28.
  18. To be fair Monk wasn't exactly great either.
  19. Maybe the BBC were worried that Bolton might fold before the end of the month.
  20. Forget the singer. Keyboards are what you need.
  21. Augsburg also through. The team who got what would have been our place in the draw had we not ****ed up agsinst the Danes.
  22. Notice that FC Midtjylland qualified for the knock-out stages of the Europa League tonight.
  23. They may be, but think tonight is as near to full strength for the u18s, because its the FA Youth Cup.
  24. Bear in mind that Birmingham u18s are in the second level of the u18 Professional Development League, i.e. 2 levels below Saints in the u18 Premier League. This is the level that we should be seeing new youngsters coming through, rather than the u21, and frankly we have become gash, in the words of Alpine. It is very worrying how bad our much lauded academy has become, we should be able to teach the Americans a thing or two.
  25. You should watch the video (the RK interview). It gives more insight. What I take from this week is that we plan to hide behind static Palace players and jump out from behind them to take them by surprise.
