Targett & Ward-Prowse named in England U21 Euro squad
VectisSaint replied to S-Clarke's topic in The Saints
On the bench, subbed after 70. Stephens joined him 2 minutes later. Yoshida scored for Japan... -
Lucky if he finds any British meat in Tesco. Usually imported from Europe or New Zealand.

ideal candidate...

Anyone know what has happened to Ramirez? No sign of him recently again, missing from last weekend's squad, now missing from training on Twitter video. I guess he is injured yet again.

Another year at Uni to complete I believe...

Both equally bad. But just thinking "I'll do what I like" indicates a lack of consideration for others and for the team. The number of people who get up to leave early either before half time or 90 minutes then notice something interesting happening on the pitch and stand blocking the view of others is very annoying after disrupting a dozen or so people maybe by trying to get out of their seat. One of the down sides of all-seater stadia. Don't have a problem if people want to leave early, some have got very genuine reasons, but they should crawl out on hands and knees so that they are inconspicuous.

It certainly used to be the case, until 96-97 when we did the 1-0 treble against Newcastle, Sunderland and Boro.

How Many Points Did We Have This TIme Last Season
VectisSaint replied to Gemmel's topic in The Saints
Sorry Bobby, but it looks like you are the one who is a little mad. I guess you are simply unable to read a post and understand it, and also notice when a post was made. It is quite simple, after Saturday we would have been level with City and Arsenal if we had won the two games where we played so awfully after taking the lead, Leicester and Man nited. That would have given us 5 points more than we had now. So thats 20 + 5 = 25. Simple really, and perfectly achievable if we had not been so utterly crap. That is how close we are to the top of the league. Of course City and Arsenal went further ahead yesterday, but that was not the point. It is so frustrating that we can play so well and throw games away like we did at home to Man U and Leicester. Next time you want to accuse someone of being mad, take a little time, make sure you have read what you are responding to, and that you fully understand. Then perhaps also try being a bit more civil. This is supposed to be a discussion forum where people are entitled to their views, even if you are unable to understand or agree with them. -
Given they have already had their heritage changed dramatically once in their history when they changed to all white in the 60s, it probably is not much of a bother for them. Traditionally they played in blue and white or blue and yellow. so your usual sniping at anything Cortese-inspired is a bit silly really.

No-one is wearing it wrong. There is no wrong way. You seem incapable of understanding that the issue is with the badges that are on EBay. I guess as I have explained already that you are just dense, no other explanation that I can think of for your being so incapable of understanding something quite simple. So, for your sake again, here is an explanation in as simple terms as possible. Poppy Badges are made in association with the Royal British Legion, and money raised by their sale or from donations goes to this excellent charity which helps our war veterans. The Poppy badges sold by Southampton Football Club were made in association with the RBL (as most other clubs did as well). They are to the copyright design of the RBL, and will always have the poppy on the left (looking at it) with the leaf at 11 o'clock, and the other badge (football crest) on the right. The badges on EBay are not official RBL badges, and therefore any money made by them does not benefit the RBL in any way. Therefore they are a con in that people may think they are donating to the charity, when they probably are not (give credit to the EBay sellers, maybe they are donating). Hopefully that was an explanation at a low enough level for you to understand and stop making yourself look a complete ****.

It hit him below the shoulder. But that's not the point. It was not deliberate, therefore it was not a penalty.

How Many Points Did We Have This TIme Last Season
VectisSaint replied to Gemmel's topic in The Saints
Quite right, we should really be equal points with Man City and Arsenal (before today's games), if we hadn't played so badly against Man U and Leicester in the second halves of those two games. That would have meant 25 points, and Leicester would be below us. There are times that we are playing better than last season, but there have been at least three games now where we have been abysmal in the second half, and that's what needs to be cut out of our game. fortunately the worst one cost us nothing. -
Stek hasn't done anything wrong (and the Willian free kick was in no way the fault of the keeper, personally don't think anyone would have got that in the same circumstances, it was just a superbly placed and paced free kick which he has now repeated several times). Personally I think Stek is as good if not better than Fraser, but has not had that much to do to be honest. But when Fraser is fit he will be back between the sticks regardless, because he is our number one keeper and will be better long term.

There is no doubt the ball hit his arm, but no way was it deliberate, so not a pen.

royal mail officially treats Portsmouth as a small town in Southampton
VectisSaint replied to Saint86's topic in The Saints
At least now the Island will get a Southampton postmark instead of Pompey. Would be better if we had IW back, but postmarks are a thing of the past, eventually there will be 3 or 4 regional centres only. -
Thought they only did that to injured horses. Seems harsh.

Pelle booked twice, 46 and 90 minutes. Which one wasn't a yellow or has the ref ****ed up?
-
Looks like the second one wasn't...
-
Thought he was booked at the start of the half as well. Certainly showing yellow on my app and I remember Big Adam saying it straight after half-time.
