He was head and shoulders their best outfield player at St Mary's, wonderful run and cross to make their goal. He was giving our right side a hard time before the goal (it was the game when JWP played right back). I really don't understand how you could think he was "toss" (assuming you mean the home game and not the replay). Only Wanyama got a better rating than he did (their keeper got the same). Still football is apparently all about opinions.

Did they play on the wings?
-
You are right, it is "Enrique" according to his birth registration.
-
We also have 2 loanees, who presumably won't be here next season, Kelvin should finally have retired, Ramirez' contract will have finished and Vic will be at Spuds playing in the Championship (OK, the last is wishful thinking).
-
I know he's a Boscombe player now, but as an ex-Saint (and Chippenham lad) sad to see he has suffered similar injury to J-Rod and will miss the whole season. Still a shame to me that we released him, was clearly a talent when he played against us for Ipswich last season.

Just a thought, but maybe they are the 2 "trialists" who have played in the most recent u18s matches. No mention of them in u18s matches otherwise. I would assume Joshua Murray is not the Man City u18 defender of the same name, given that he is listed for Many City as well, but I suppose its possible (would be quite a coup if it was, he is very highly thought of). I think Archie Thomas is a 16 year old (born Aylesbury Vale 1999) from what I can find out, there are too many Joshua Thomas' to be able to identify him in the same way.

So it does have an impact on you...

He should be back on Monday. Is that 4 days? Hardly 2 weeks away, probably only misses one training session, maybe two, and with hardly any first team players available he is not missing much really.

Flat-track bully :-)

Oh dear. 34 appearances for 17th ranked country in the world (and much higher when he was actually regularly in their squad which he hasn't been for the last 12 months) would suggest otherwise. All this at the age of 24. He had a lot more than one decent performance for us as well. Still, you and Alpine think he's rubbish so I guess you must be right. But, his biggest weakness remains him giving away the ball far too easily in centre midfield, if he sorts that out then he has a future.
-
Would be odd if Koeman "did not fancy him" when he was brought in under his watch. Just not ready yet and currently not fitting into the set up we have been playing, he will get his chances as the season progresses and we settle down. He also probably needs to beef up a bit to cope with the PL.
-
What attitude issues has he shown recently? The problem with Gaston is not his attacking, but the trouble he gets us into with his ability to give the ball away and lack of defensive capabilities. By the way someone asked if there is a squad place available, answer is yes. If I have got it right we have 16 overseas players and 8 home-based over 21s (K Davis, Long, S Davis, J Rod, Bertrand, Caulker, Isgrove & Forster), so actually we still have 1 "unused" squad place for an overseas player.
-
He's not in the Uruguay squad (they are playing Paraguay tomorrow). Hasn't been for some time. Currently training with the rest of the non/ex-internationals group, smallish group of about 9/10 players.

Maybe you are taking things a tad too seriously. Its been sung for donkey's years, its about how you feel about the team, not whether MLG's stats say we are or are not.

CONFIRMED - Virgil Van Dijk joins on Five Year Deal

Mine came about after Redknapp was our "manager"... -
Koeman was right then. He didn't say how long after the international break
-
It would be a bit of a surprise if Yoshida was replaced by van Dijk for WBA, with little or no training for VvD with his new team mates, nothing to do with loyalty. Personally would play the same team as against Norwich, can't see any good reason to change it. Bertrand & Clasie will not be ready, VvD on the bench, Vic also benched or not selected. The team were playing well first 30 minutes, no need for changes against WBA.

What a load of crap. So when I didn't like Branfoot I didn't support Saints. Rupert ****ing Lowe. You sir (or is it sirs?) are talking ****e. People support Saints and may dislike owner, manager, players, they are still welcome on this forum. -
So not good enough for us then. Wouldn't want the little **** back thanks.
-
Clasie definitely not, Bertrand very unlikely. No evidence that either are back in training with the squad.

There are still some places where the window is still open, Russia for one and Romania. Not sure about Argentina this year, last year we were able to ship Osvaldo out there, but that was possibly because they were in a transition season. I don't think we will ship him out, it was clear to me that as a member of the first team squad there was no plan for him to leave, but technically there are still some options.

You forgot OR as well. Really don't think you can count the new GK, HL, he is for the long term future and is only 17. DO and EM were on loan last season as well, so hardly count. Surprises me that anyone really is shocked by the appalling coverage of us by Sky, or any other media. Only interested in Top 5/6 + WH, and no-one in the media these days actually does any research, even the Beeb which used to be at least accurate if not ground-breaking is now shockingly poor in their reporting. -
It is nuts. We even had 11 back on Sunday for corners when Naarwich were down to 10 men. I understand the theoretical reason for having everyone back, but it is really not very bright and there is no real evidence that it is worthwhile. You should always have an "out", it not only gives an option and prevents the ball being recycled back in after we hoof it away from the corner but also occupies another opposition player, nearly all teams only push max 8 players up for a corner, usually like us with one centrally just outside the pen and two back at the halfway line. It is one defensive tactic by Ron that really doesn't make sense in my opinion and that of many other people.
-
Maybe you will be disappointed, Ronald said no one from the first team squad will be sold, Gaston, unlike Mayuka, is officially part of the first team squad.
