I'm sure he would not have travelled if he was not expected to be available to play some part. It looks like we only took 16 outfield players from the video (2 groups of 5 and one group of 6), and assume there are 2 keepers, so 18. That's the match day squad. To me, whether or not JRod starts tomorrow, its more important that he could play a part on Sunday. In which case I doubt he will start tomorrow, but may get used as a late sub, and then he will definitely be available for Sunday, at least on the bench.

What I meant was that it doesn't make any difference if we are the best unseeded or the second best unseeded or the 22nd best unseeded. We will still be unseeded. Of course it makes a difference if we are seeded or unseeded, otherwise there is no point in this whole discussion :-)

No, he has travelled to Arnhem, he wouldn't have travelled if he was not in with a shout of playing (Long and Clasie did not travel). Doubt he will start, and he will not start Sunday either, but reckon he might be on the bench. I think all that Ronald meant was that he will not be ready to start/play 90 against Newcastle.
