  1. Actually we don't. We have a hell of a lot to thank Markus Liebherr for. It is was his pet project, his hobby, his passion. No-one else in the family. Remember marks pretty much cut himself off from the rest of the family, he gave back shares in main company and started his own organisation. That doesn;t mean there was any bad feeling necessarily but he was an independent man. Why does anyone think that other members of thr family will have that same passion and vision? What seems to have happened here is that finally the completion of the probate process has ended (speculation on my part) and now with complete control of the purse strings whoever now heads up the trust is calling the shots and is clearly not up for the same vision as was markus. Sadly nothing anyone can do about that, you cannot will someone to be enthusiatic for a project. Markus ensured that financially we would be OK but being financially OK is not the same as trying to take things to another level.
  2. Why is it unbelievable? You are mixing up Markus and the rest of the family. The rest of the family have zero interest in SFC. As I said get the emotions out of the way.
  3. No great surprise. Probably down to all the defenders who climb all over Rickie's back and never get penalised by the crap PL referees.
  4. Which I believe is exactly what he wants. NC is looking to oust the Liebherrs and replace with a party that is actually interested in the future. the Liebherrs are not Markus, the Trust do not have the same vision or desire to take us forward, NC wants someone backing him who has that same desire and drive. We need to cut through the sentiment that connects us with the Liebherrs, and see that our future is not with them but is with NC, at least in the next 2-3 years. Let the Liebherrs go back to their cranes and horses. The sooner the better.
  5. I guess you didn't watch the FA Cup Final then. Citeh demonstrated exactly the same problem as us agains the Baggies. It wasn't our result against WBA it was the performance that was shocking. We just didn't turn up, showed a lack of interest and lack of imagination. Citeh were the same. It was not the only game it happened this season, and the same thing was evident a couple of times last season as well. All teams seem to do this at times and you wonder why they seem so dozy. If I was completely paranoid I would start to suspect some sort of international betting scam, but as I realise that not everyone is out to get me I don't think that at all.
  6. Private Frazer actually - we're doomed
  7. We need more seats.
  8. 38 would have been enough with our goal difference
  9. Does the top division in Scotland count as lower league these days? He managed Hearts more successfully than anywhere else arguably. Paul Tisdale and Nick Holmes would count as lower leagues though. Painer managed Cheltenham Town when they were non-league. Peter Reid. Just a thought but maybe Brett Ormerod would make a good assistant for JB at Stanley given his past associations with the club.
  10. Personally I think its more likely that Cortese is not planning to leave. He seems to be trying to engineer s situation where he remains in charge but with a different backer. Its clear to me that the Liebherr family are not interested in SFC as Markus was, and NC is finding it difficult to work with a disinterested owner backing him. He has said before that there are other major investors ready if needed, methinks this is a way of forcing the Liebherr's hands to get out with the least possible disruption and let someone in who genuinely is interested in moving forward. Choice between Cortese and Liebherr family, I will take the former every single day of the week, and there is no slight on Markus by saying that. That empty seat nexy to NC needs to be filled with someone with their heart (and pocket) in the project.
  11. Bit unneccessary isn't it? I really don't know if you are trolling ot just genuinely stupid but maybe I can guess now based on your post. Section U.5.2 covers the possibility of adding Sharpe or anyone else. It won't happen but the possibility exists.
  12. I vote we all go dressed as trolls. In honour of one or two of our friends on this mongboard, only the real trolls should dress "normal" then we will be able to pick them out at the match. Of course in some cases I guess it may be difficult to spot them.
  13. Bet Owen would dive again and get a penalty. Little cheat.
  14. Need to 2 or 3 strikers in the summer, whether or not we sell Mayuka. Cannot go through a whole season with 2 recognised strikers (Lambert & Mayuka). Guly is now used as a midfielder, lose Lambert or JRod and we are fecked.
  15. So a converted try and 2 pens will do it for them. Not much to ask really, good job they'll have a Michael Owen and not a Garryowen.
  16. There has not been too much wrong with our defence since Cork came back to be fair. The problem recently has been lack of goals. A few too many og shockers agreed, but in general we have been solid when we have had our best back 4 available, Clyne/Yoshi/Fonte/Shaw. Just go to pot when we have to rely on Fox and to a lesser extent Jos. Its strength in depth we are lacking.
  17. Michael Owen's parting shot don't you know. He's going to score 12 in his last game and Hooiveld will then score an OG to send us down :-)
  18. Bit pathetic for a man of your age isn't it? I agree he is not really captain material at the moment, it was a mistake to put this weight on a player who had not played in the PL before, but to hate him because he was given the armband by Adkins seems a bit OTT. I think your anti-Lallana vitriol is a rather sad reflection on you rather than AL.
  19. I guess if it gets to 12, squeaky bums might be in vogue (assuming Wigan beat Arsenal of course). Somehow I think even Dalek will accept we are safe now.
  20. No Charlie Adam next week then
  21. Silly really, Lambert has cored more penalties than Welbeck has scored total goals this season in 39 appearances for the top club in England. Defoe and Sturridge I can deal with but Welbeck really does not deserve an England place, even a Manure place is debatable.
  22. No anger there mate. Just that none of us can be sure, because the rules are so unclear, and there is nowhere that you can look it up. I mentioned that you didn't understand because you referred to September. The September list is completely irrelevant, the list is reset completely at the end of January. There are bits I don't understand as well. I am probably wrong about Lee by the way, because I can't remember when he went on loan, got the feeling it was early February so he is probably still registered (but unavailable). Can't actually think of much reason why MP would play Sharpe even if available, he has not even been a regular started recently for Forest in the Championship. Still like the guy and wish he had been given a bit more chance in the PL, but he certainly does not seem to be performing at the level he was before he joined us.
  23. The squad is re-submitted at the end of the January transfer window, what was submitted in September is irrelevant. Sorry to have to correct you there. If and no-one is sure we had 25 over 21s registered end January then Sharp cannot be added obviously, but I don't believe we did. De Ridder was not registered because he was on loan at end January, and was added so that he was eligible for last week. Lee is no longer registered because he went on loan before the squad list was submitted so I think we still have one or two open places. The only reason I can see that MP might register Sharpe is because if Mayuka is not really focused because of his family situation we only have 2 strikers. Fact is I don't know whether there is a possibility of registering Sharpe, clearly you don't either becuase you don't understand the rules and it seems like MLG doesn't either. Wish there was somewhere you could look this up.
  24. How do you know? He could have been added. Steve de Ridder was registered as he was on the bench last week. Just not sure of the number we had registered back in February, if it was 22 or 23 then there is no reason Sharp cannot be added. Whether he is good enough is immaterial.
  25. I feel pretty content in the knowledge that my £10 bet on Saints to be relegated put on while Villa were beating Sunderland last week is going down the tubes. I never win bets. I once bet on 2 horses in the same Grand National and both were put down. I haven't bet on the National since.
