Awful, no Ted
-
I told you a while back, its the Michael Owen effect, media frenzy, lots of people wanting to see his last game.
-
Because as it stands West Brom are mathematically safe, and they are our next opponents so will relax, take their eye off the ball and help us on our march towards 10th. OK, so not really Saints related.

How many teams from England have qualified via the Fair Play route? I guess Fulham did. The Fair Play route is the problem, it means 4 extra qualifying games in July (England teams do not otherwise join until 3rd qualifying round). These are not good, competitive games instead of pre-season, they are more then likely to be against teams from such strong associations as San Marino, Andorra or even Liechtenstein. Qualify by any other route, fair enough, but by this back door route, no thanks, too disruptive during vital part of the season. Who will still think its a good idea when one or more of our important players are crocked before the season starts. UEFA really need to look at the way the Noddy League is organised.

CBF in stupid post shocker. Clearly not looking for quick sell if he is investing in new manager and willing to pay compo for sacking previous manager. No idea what Christ has to do with this, I guess as usual you are unable to string together a coherent argument, because as usual you don't actually understand the discussion or what is happening.

Just shows the attitude of all the "want it now" generation. ML never invested in Saints in a make a quick buck way, he was so rich that what was invested was really just pocket money. Maybe it would be a good time to cash in, but I don't believe for one minute it will happen, ML and NC had a vision, a project which is not yet completed. NC will want to go to the next level, there is nothing really to be gained by selling now, making a few more quids for an estate that is worth billions, totally pointless.

Swansea 0-0 SAINTS // Post-Match Reaction

Good to see someone having an ill informed pop at Guly. Mayuka and Guly were on bench last week and Guly was ill yesterday so not available. -
Vergard Forren; do the club need to explain to the fans
VectisSaint replied to Miltonroader07's topic in The Saints
Can't see that this is actually true, if it is it says a lot about a professional footballer who does not try to stay fit during the off season (Norwegian football finishes in November, new season starts in March or something). Considering how fit our squad is he doesn't really seem to fit in with our ethos. -
Which were so clearly laid out that at first it seemed we had done nothing wrong at all because the Football Club had not gone into Administration, only a holding company with no football related assets. However, SkatesFC punishment today is not for going into administration, it is for exiting administration with a Company Voluntary Arrangement not being fully compliant with the Football League's insolvency policy. So actually that is 20 points deducted for going into administration, although of course Skates have managed to avoid any of these deducted points having any effect whatsoever.

We already let you have DC what more do you want?

Swansea 0-0 SAINTS // Post-Match Reaction

Bit harsh on Lallana given that he was subbed on 77 minutes. -
Recharge for what? There are 4 games left before the season ends.
-
Well he's not going to come to us to boost his England chances is he? Woy doesn't know where St Mary's is, either that or doesn't come along because NC makes him pay for a ticket. Would actually be a good signing, but somewhat unlikely in my opinion.

McInally on Sky was surprised Swansea were not awarded penalty for Fox handball. Haven't seen it so not able to comment.
-
Actually I think it is the epitomy of a professional answer. If he had answered in any other way then I would have probably thought lying git.

That would be a first...

It would be amazing to make a trip to somewhere exotic like the Faroe Islands or Kazakhstan. I'm sure both would be very hospitable, and would give our lads a great work out in early July. The hope would be that one or more of our important players would not get a serious injury and miss the rest of the season while we were all having a wheeze having a European tour. Actually I wouldn't go to either of the above, and I doubt that I would even bother going to see the home leg. Have been to plenty of European games in the past against proper teams in proper competitions. It is naive to imagine that playing silly games in July would not damage our pre-season and for no good reason. Financially the Europa League is rubbish, even at the QF stage. The sooner they re-format the Europa Noddy League the better.

Saints officially better than Pompey (over 125 years)
VectisSaint replied to PaulSaint's topic in The Saints
We all knew that anyway, and the data shows that we have been for some time now. Even if you change all seasons to 2 points for a win or to 3 points for a win we are still 40-50 points ahead of the Skates, the numbers are very skewed in the table against teams that were in the top flight more pre 1981. One nice point to note is that we have had the top scorer in the league on 5 separate occasions, Big Ron twice (once equal with Best), Channon, Keegan and Boyer. -
Yes, just go to the site and click on the Comment icon (next to the number which currently is 45 that shows the number of people that already commented). Would be a bit futile now given the article is nearly a year old, and someone from Saints has already pointed out most of the inaccuracies.

Based on what I read it would seem that if we were still at The Dell we would probably be near the top of the list. Much as I loved The Dell that would be so wrong.

5) Finishing mid table in PL in our first season back up Finishing runners up in NPC was disappointing in my view, we should have won it, better than being best loser. I like 11th in the PL, it puts us top of the bottom half when league tables are shown, has a certain class about it and of course finishing 10th is not possible.

So whatever happens they are going down, just a case of how far.

Can't see Flamini joining Saints, visits to Costa will hardly be the same as Brera http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blogs/pitchside-europe/flamini-isn-t-ready-bid-adieu-milan-165715813.html

How will any result tonight affect whether the Skates are relegated? Even if they gained enough points on the pitch their points deduction will see to it that they play in League 2 next season, unless of course they are liquidated. In some ways I would prefer them to get enough points to stay up and then be relegated by the points deduction, otherwise the penalty becomes meaningless. Or have I missed something?
