Your comment would have had some validity if you had not added the bit in bold. Just showing that you do exactly what you accuse others of doing.

Easter Bank Holiday Weekend - Fruitful for Saints?

You forgot Jesus... -
Classic, thanks Waggy. Seems like Sellers ought to have been a Saints fan as well. Even if he was born a Skate.

Don't know if anyone watched the Spike Milligan documentary on ITV on Monday night. I've always been a Milligna fan (hence my avatar), and of course my admiration for him was compounded years ago when he famously put Portsmouth in Room 101, because he hated the place. But I never really gave it any thought that he may have had some Saints interest, after all why would he. He was Irish, born in India, lived in London. BUT, and here's my point, in the said documentary, there was a brief part where it showed a picture (black and white) of Spike wearing a woolly football hat, we're talking 1970s era I would think, and it definitely said "SAINT" on the side - the angle of the photo meant that the final S would have been hidden. So, did Spike actually have some connection with Saints?

Is there any team you dislike more than Pompey?
VectisSaint replied to Ivan Katalinic's 'tache's topic in The Saints
Spurs. We hated them long before the hatred of Pompey took over in the 1970s. Loads of people used to go and watch us and Pompey depending who was home. I used to go and watch them regularly, but I did at least watch from the away end. -
Nor had I, but it came up in the thread referred to while back that he had moved back down south. Shame I used to enjoy my occasional forays to Moreton.

I'm confident we will have confirmed our status before the last game. But if not could be overshadowed by media scrum following the English Marian Pahars' possible last appearance (assuming Pulis would pick him of course). I guess he would be bound to score as well.

Where did you see this? Was it on the other thread?

How long will it be before we are as big as we were in 2003?
VectisSaint replied to Roger's topic in The Saints
Not ironic, simply made sense not to reappoint a has-been like Hoddle. Hoddle did well for us during his short tenure, but in the end without Gorman he has really shown that he was not all that he was cracked up to be. -
I see Paul Sturrock and Southend have parted company. Maybe he's going for the Reading job.

If you were told it belonged to Lord Montague then it wouldn't be one of the younger members of the family. There is only one Lord Montagu (note spelling these days), you don't get junior lords. One Lord Montagu, there's only one Lord Montagu.

Recently? Your predictions have always been wide of the mark.

Strange then that he was on the bench 5 times under MP/NA this year before his loan happened. Still, whenever Chung is the subject of any threads we get used to the slagging, and I notice that our delightful forum troll has piped up, what a surprise.

Never played a first team game.Joined us on a free in Jan 1992 from Man City and went to ADO Den Haag in July same year on a free. Made 1 appearance for Man City. Lucky to have played at all after 1987, see article and wince at the picture of his injury as it happened http://espnfc.com/columns/story?id=672695&sec=europe&root=europe&cc=5739

Is there any chance you can stop being such a pedantic arse, and just join in a discussion without having to correct people non stop? -
Think you have completely misunderstood. MP has drafted the fringe players/u21s (we don't have a development squad, that was last year) in so that there are enough players on the training ground to carry out match simulations when so many of our players are on international duty (or would have been if they had not withdrawn due to mysteriious injuries). It actually bodes well for the next game that the remaining players are not getting an easy time while the internationals are away. Playing closed door friendlies with 8 games to go with the risk of crucial injuries would be crazy in my opinion.

Moody teenager. Is there any other sort?

So 12 under NA, 10 of which were in games we did not win. 3 under MP, 2 in games we won, 1 in a game we failed to win (lost). Seems like an area where there is some sign of improvement, but a way to go yet to be sure.

"A number of posters". That would be Glasgow Troll Saint and Noodle. Nearly every one else has a balanced view, and can see that sometimes he is poor and sometimes he is good. The fact that Glasgow Troll Saint posted the Fratton Park pics just shows that his opinion is fixed whatever Guly does in the future.

Maybe I'm getting confused with Saints Extra that used to be on Sky Sports Extra the season we went to Cardiff. So OK perhaps we only had our own programme rather than TV station as such. When you get old the memory plays tricks like this. It was back in the days when there was Saints TV though, but I think that was just an online service.

They didn't show that on MOTD, I didn't realise he wasn't very good at it before.
