Quite. So they have to win as many games in their next 7 as they have managed in their previous 31. Adkins would be hailed as some sort of miracle worker if he achieved that. Reality is that they will probably win 2 more this season, and one of their targets must be us. I hope we win but would accept a draw, we have 3 very winnable home games, we won't win them all but I would expect 2 out of 3 and that will be enough with a point or two on the road.

SRL Confirms Availability after interest in International Call Up

New Zealand makes some sense, but playing for Scotland? I think Rickie has some self esteem. Even with WGS in charge :-) -
No, he has evidently delegated the task to the committee members of the Cult of Cortese.

Good to see some emotion from Jos, even if not from anyone else. What a miserable bunch of ****s most modern footballers are.

Thought Beattie liked the muffins.

There were a lot of Chelksi "fans" in amongst the Saints yesterday, trying to look cool and pretending to be Saints fans, are you sure they were real Saints fans. After all on yesterday's display Wigan and Villa do have better squads than Chelski :-)

Brilliant, love the bit where Turkish makes a brief appearance (at 1.10)

[in Private Frazer/Glasgow Saint voice] We're doomed, all doomed!!! Reading and QPR supporters only need to be saying this.

I noticed a small amount of camera wobble there, please try to be a little more restrained in your celebrating next time.

The earlier one that he put straight into the wall was even more of a perfect summing up. Notice they didn't show that on MOTD highlights.
-
Presumably he was not 100% before the game. When I got to my seat the team were all warming up but Boruc was not there. He may have been out earlier of course, but seemed odd at the time that he was not having a full warm-up. He really did not look completely right during the first half even before the physio went round to talk to him and his kicking was atrocious.

Did that include the rugby tackling? Played ok yesterday but was trying too hard at times. I thought it was an average game for him. His shooting is a disaster.

Luggy, the Reading job was just a smoke screen.

Agreed, think he really made the difference today. Good job I slipped the Chilean airline a few quid to delay Snr Ramirez :-) I would like us to find some way of playing Davis and Ramirez.

So Torres can score...
-
Interesting that you used to find Morgan's lack of goal scoring appalling, yet Jack Cork who has never scored for Saints doesn't seem to be open to criticism in that respect. Maybe he will break his duck today.

I know the grass is green, but I didn't realise they painted it.

Sure, but did Bill Gates deny that his business partner Paul Allen was a massive Saints fan? I'm sure Paul would have told Bill all about the times he sailed up Southampton Water in his yacht while he was sorting out the details of his takeover.

Guess you don't know Jimmy Steele.

Your comment would have had some validity if you had not added the bit in bold. Just showing that you do exactly what you accuse others of doing.

Easter Bank Holiday Weekend - Fruitful for Saints?

You forgot Jesus... -
Classic, thanks Waggy. Seems like Sellers ought to have been a Saints fan as well. Even if he was born a Skate.

Don't know if anyone watched the Spike Milligan documentary on ITV on Monday night. I've always been a Milligna fan (hence my avatar), and of course my admiration for him was compounded years ago when he famously put Portsmouth in Room 101, because he hated the place. But I never really gave it any thought that he may have had some Saints interest, after all why would he. He was Irish, born in India, lived in London. BUT, and here's my point, in the said documentary, there was a brief part where it showed a picture (black and white) of Spike wearing a woolly football hat, we're talking 1970s era I would think, and it definitely said "SAINT" on the side - the angle of the photo meant that the final S would have been hidden. So, did Spike actually have some connection with Saints?

Is there any team you dislike more than Pompey?
VectisSaint replied to Ivan Katalinic's 'tache's topic in The Saints
Spurs. We hated them long before the hatred of Pompey took over in the 1970s. Loads of people used to go and watch us and Pompey depending who was home. I used to go and watch them regularly, but I did at least watch from the away end.
