Le Tissier: "Cortese is not a nice human being"
VectisSaint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Admitted to trying, in his book, but being a bit of a mug managed to cock it up. But of course he is a legend so can do no wrong. -
Nooooooooooooo MoPo is awful, fecking awful. Only Pinocchio is.more embarrassing. Mauricio is easy enough.

How long before we all calm down on this forum
VectisSaint replied to Miltonroader07's topic in The Saints
All calm here, has something happened? Got a point more than I expected on Monday. -
Are people beginning to see what Cortese is up to?
VectisSaint replied to ByTheGolacs's topic in The Saints
Same article as being discussed on another thread, it is on Sky and football365, authored by Nick Miller. Threads could be combined. -
Hooiveld against van Persie. Slightly worried by that.

Then they should have gone to Madrid or somewhere where they speak Spanish, no good picking up Catalan.

Guardian blog article on last night and the wider implications
VectisSaint replied to Minty's topic in The Saints
Poorly researched, light-weight "article". For example: "the Argentinian's first appearance on an English football field marked by a buzz of welcoming applause and a mass craning of necks" This is blatant rubbish, 30 seconds of "research" (Google) indicates he played for Argentina at Wembley in 2000 when England & Argentina drew 0-0. This Ronay guy (perhaps he should stick to cooking) clearly knows nothing about the Branfoot protests or the Lowe mass protests, if so he would not write such condescening rubbish about SFC supporters. I thought before I read the article it was going to be a follow up to Gary Neville's discourse on the English game -
Is Mauricio really that difficult? It evens rhymes with physio so fits well into existing chants. So many are upset because of his lack of English (which is not as bad as some would have us believe) yet can't be arsed to try one Spanish word, typical Brits. But please, Mo Po, you have to be kidding. And please make sure no one calls him Pinnochio which is just so insulting.

Rate Cork, but last night he gave the ball away several times, one in particular lead to a very decent opportunity for Everton.
-
Has Cortese invested anything? May be wrong but never got the impression he was an investor. Works with other people's money.
-
Good result, but we should have won. Toilet training for wee Jason.

I think it would be a rum do to give the armband to anyone else for tonight.

Assuming you are a Southampton supporter then you should re-read the article. Its not very clear but this is the bit that applies to Southampton supporters differently to the rest of the world: "People who actually support Southampton get the asterisk*" Find it quite amusing that the person that wrote this criticises Cheslea's badly spelled A4 handouts and yet the article is so full of bad grammar, but then thats modern day journos for you.

Surely you have the answer, depends on the test. Unlikely though.

Would have been difficult for Painer to play his whole career at top flight for us wouldn't it, given we were in 2nd tier at the time he started. Played a hell of a lot more games than Le Tiss did though. Actually played 75% as many games as Le Tiss did in the top flight and then played another 400 approx on top of that. Kept himslef in better shape than Le God and was arguably as good in his day. Was always a bit of a knob though, so maybe that's one thing they have in common.

One Nigel Adkins chart for 1 min at Ko
VectisSaint replied to DrZuess1979 the 2nd's topic in The Saints
Sing "One Nigel Adkins" by all means, but then follow up immediately with: "Welcome Mauricio" or "We've got Mauricio" (physio tune). Make the new manager feel welcome, he is not the bad guy here and deserves our support. -
I do wish Le Tiss would keep his counsel some times. He has nothing of any use to say but just feels the need to stir the ****. Le Tiss is the one with ego problems. Great player, idlo for many, but sadly a bit of a burk. As is Cortese.

Arsenal are playing tomorrow aren't they?

Interesting Tweet on the BBC LiveText page from Luke Shaw: Great to meet the new gaffer today. hard first session but good fun ! Now excited for Monday's game and hope the fans support us as ever !

You are mocked and abused for many reasons, its what happens when you are a troll.

It was clear from the press conference he at least understands more than he speaks, I suspect he actually speaks some English (certainly more English than most on here can speak Spanish) but just is not confident to do so in front of the press. There is a world of difference between conducting a press conf/interview than shouting out some orders on the training pitch. Besides there are a few of our players who would understand Spanish (Portuguese is not that different)

If Mauricio leaves for better things it will certainly be no worse that when we were shafted by Hoddle, at least he will probably have the decency to do it properly unlike Hod the Sod who lied and disappeared and left the more honourable John Gorman to face the music and clear his desk, now that man is what I call a scumbag (despite what Dalek will probably come on and say). I don't like how things have been done here but convinced NA has known it was on the cards for weeks, and I would rather someone had been lined up than go through what we did when Pardew left, after all it is not much different to how it was done when WGS joined us, for **** sake he was even sitting in the stands watching if I recall correctly.

would you rather have had redknapp than Pinocchio?
VectisSaint replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
No, no, no. Surely Pinocchio is a more appropriate nickname for Saggy Chops than Mauricio. Saggy is the known liar. -
Oh dear, embarrassing post.
