  1. We should have kept David Connolly
  2. Morgan would be player of the season for me whether we maintain our position or not. Player of the season is not dependent on staying up as far as I know. I don't see how Boruc would even be in with a shout. Only played half a season, one pen save from a lardass doesn't make him player of the season (but it was a good save). 2nd and 3rd would be Cork and Lambert.
  3. Well we could have filled a bigger stadium for Liverpool. Sold out 2 weeks before the game. I've missed out too, because I never gave it a thought until last Saturday. Second time this season I've been caught out. If anyone has 2 spare, I would be interested as well.
  4. Yes, of course, but then you would argue that black was white.
  5. Top class CB, possibly our best, reads the game superbly, and makes very good interceptions. Bargain buy, and suits the PL well. Sometimes struggles a bit when he has to cover for Fox. His twin brother who sometimes plays at RB or LB is a complete bozo. Odd that you never see them both together. Sad that some people on here (mostly the usual planks) cannot see this and think because he has a stinker at RB or LB that he is ****. I suspect he hates playing at RB or LB but does what he is asked. Sounds like even out of position today he made some great saving tackles.
  6. Not much to argue with there.
  7. Norwich Boruced. Someone said on build up thread that they had not been given a pen this season, now they have and now we know it wouldn't have made any difference. Difficult to say whether it was a pen, looked like it from what I saw, BUT Shaw was fouled before it and so it should have been free kick to us, and I can't tell whether Lardass dived or not. If we had won last week a point at Narwich would have been a good point. I guess it still is, but feel deflated that we did not get 3.
  8. Not sure they would have got much away at Man City, apart from a dent in their GD.
  9. Really don't understand why Yoshi is playing at RB, we all know he is awful at RB or LB. Top CB, does MP not know how bad he was earlier in the season though
  10. Be better to take Jos off and let Yoshi play in his proper position. Surely Clyne can play a half can't he, if not why is he on the bench.
  11. Putting more teams below us is what is important, not the position itself. Statistically QPR are unlikely to get out of bottom 3, especially if they only draw today.
  12. Pinocchio seems to think we are well on top
  13. Is that good? Draw might be better for us, we could go level with Sunderland today.
  14. Cheers, leaves us a bit weak on the bench away from home.
  15. Davis not on the bench even, is he injured? Thought it was odd last week that he didn't come on, perhaps he was not 100%. Worried at the thought of Yoshi playing RB, top player in the centre, absolute gash as right or left back based on past performances.
  16. Perhaps he is already wearing them, I never used to carry my boots to footy either, saved time putting them on when I got there, played havoc with my bike pedals though.
  17. It will distract them from the league.
  18. So what is that if it is not Plan B? Problem actually was that Plan B was a stupid plan with Samba playing and we did not have a Plan C.
  19. I would take 38. I wouldn't want to rely on GD to be above QPR if they got 17 points from their last 10 games.
  20. This isn't a pro, its a con. Was completely unable to attract sufficient investment and was not prepared to invest what we had to take us to the next level, when we could have done so relatively easily. Find it very difficult to think of any pros with Lowe. He is the reason we ended up where we were 3 years ago. I guess the only pro is that he was such a blithering idiot that in the end we got bought by someone sensible, because it would never have happened while were a plc.
  21. Nice story. It really backs up what I thought about England during the Beckham/Neville/SGE era, unless you were in their clique you never stood a chance. Wayne Bridge was treated badly in his early England days, you could see players avoiding passing to him on the pitch even when it was the most obvious thing to do. Its still why I really get ****ed off when people fawn over Beckham so much, saying how great he was for the England team, when the reality is that together with some of his cronies he was part of the reason why an era when England had a reasonable amount of talent, they did not perform to their expectations. Well done JB though for continuing to want to play football at whatever level, nice to see a true sportsman doing it for the right reasons and not worrying about whether he has to pay tax or not like some egos do.
  22. As usual. One of the people who are clearly killing this forum, along with the other 2 or 3 trolls.
  23. In the end its a team thing, rather than individuals, but Yosh has been very good, to.drop.him for Forren would be a massive risk, Forren looks average at best. What we need is to make sure Fox is nowhere near the team then the rest of the defence can do their own job without having to do his as well.
  24. I can only assume you did not watch the "new lad" last night. Would rather give Stephens a go to be honest. There is a very good reason Vegard is not in the team. Yoshida has been our best defender for much of this season, dropping him would be stupid. 2nd goal Saturday was primarily down to Shaw.
  25. You missed the good part, we were quite good in the 1st half, but we definitely tired in last 15 minutes and were fortunate to hang on at the end. Probably something to do with playing at SMS, the kids don't play there often enough imho.
