  1. Says more about you than Miltonroader unfortunately, if you actually know that to be a fact. Some people really do post stuff they would seriously regret saying in the real world.
  2. I guess he has a Korean name because he is of Korean descent :-) No need to feel bad about agreeing with me by the way.
  3. Maybe because you wouldn't recognise a good player if he tweeted you directly. I've also seen all the games he played last season, don't recall him missing any sitters, recall him scoring a fantastic goal, and showing a lot of vision and ability and lots of of skill and invention. His runs off the ball are excellent. Of course he is only a Japanese international player so he must be average. He still has to show what he can do in the PL, but the short glimpses of him playing alongside RL make me believe that they will form an exciting partnership and is exactly what we needed on Sunday as he seems more than capable of holding the ball up well, which no-one apart for SRL seems able to do. He also has (or had) lightning pace, something we seriously lack elsewhere. On top of that seems like a genuinely charming bloke (unlike you) and apparently at least partly responsible for Yoshi joining us - but then you probably think he is average as well (as a RB he is actually far worse than average but as a CB he is top class).
  4. Apparently in the US a dead leg is referred to as a "Charley Horse" - here is some scientific information about the condition and confirmation (on top of S-Clarke's below) that it can mean weeks on the sidelines. I see the physio room is now reporting 17th November for expected return. Clyne's injury was also a dead leg, but clearly not as serious. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charley_horse http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/health_and_fitness/4284462.stm Chung is not listed as injured by the way, and it has been clear from SaintsPlayer that he has been training for the last week or more. And anyone who seriously believes that Chung was signed to improve our financials by selling stuff in the Far East has clearly not seen him play or is a complete dumbo, he is a very talented player and we are seriously missing him at the moment for his abiliaty to hold the ball up and his off-the ball running which would assist Lambo.
  5. As an attacking force they were far far better than Wigan, but admit that is not saying very much. On a slightly different note having watched the match tonight (recorded on Sky) and after all the controversy about Suarez (and Bale) and their diving, Schwarzer should be awarded an Oscar for his dive which resulted in our 2nd goal being disallowed - no-one usually accuses keepers of diving but Tom Daly would have been proud of that effort.
  6. This is due to the Dolson Principle. People can be demoted to their level of incompetence rather than promoted. The higher the level of management the easier the job. The logical outcome of this would be to demote Adkins to the Physio job and put Cortese in as manager of the team. That was what Lowe tried to do so it must be a good idea - or did Lowe just promote people randomly?
  7. So he's quite good against Championship opposition and in the Reserve league. How does that translate to being good enough for the PL? Sadly it doesn't, he really struggled to impress last season, I was surprised we did not look to move him on during the summer. Still maybe with more coaching he can make it, we'll see.
  8. Would have been very odd to replace Lambert with Cork, at least Guly made sense and played well. I guess you were one of the thousands that streamed out before we scored given you think we lost.
  9. Matches last for 95 minutes, the fact that he may have had problems in the last 10 minutes or so doesn't mean he had a bad game. I thought he had a decent game yesterday, not his best but he was really getting stuck in and making a lot of decent runs, interceptions and tackles. His corner led to our 1st goal (struggling to remember the 2nd, although I was still in the ground unlike about 5000 of our so-called supporters).
  10. Even has experience of relegating us, must be ideal for the job. When will people learn that Arry is actually not very good. Even the ****s at the FA could see that, and they are none too bright. I wouldn't be averse to having Joe Jordan back to help out, but as for Saggy Face or his sidekick, no thank you very much indeed if its all the same to you. Even Hoddle would be preferable.
  11. Who is the 0.1% on here whose opinion is not worthless? I think we should know.
  12. They may have targeted Yoshi but actually made no difference. Yoshi was awful I agree, but neither Fulham goal was even indirectly caused by him.
  13. Totally agree, I read this earlier and wasn't able to reply at the time, but if someone genuinely thought Davis and Morgan were hopeless today then God help us. Clearly an understanding of football is not something you get in Kingsbridge. Thought Morgan was very good today, was a bit concerned knowing he had been injured, but he did not hold back. Davis too was much better today. The only other game where he looked this good was against Villa, coincidentally the other game where he did not have JWP alongside. Not knocking jWP but I think him and Davis are too similar and sort of get in each other's way. Great performance from Jose today, covering for an out of sorts Jos and an out of position Yoshi. Note to Adkins, never ever play Yoshi at RB again, for a player I really rate he was like a fish out of water, hopeless with his passes, terrible throw-ins - why oh why was Butters not on the bench, we seem to be overloaded with left footed players, and our only right sided cover was not available as a sub. Hope Frazer is OK, didn't look good when he went down. One criticism for Fonte - why the **** did you take your shirt of and get a booking, stupid, we will regret that when suspensions come along. Lambert looked well out of sorts today, I know how he felt, was feeling like I was hung over as well (though I wasn't). We would have got 3 points today I am sure if Gaston and Clyne had played. Fulham were quite poor, although they still showed more than Wigan. Still 2 home games unbeaten now.
  14. Is it worth getting a sub to MUTV to watch this, on now? Nah.
  15. Then Fernandez will sack him immediately after the game, he will go to Norwich and will be in his first game for them 11 days later.
  16. This. Quite honestly amazed we are selling as many tix as we are for unattractive games like Wigan and Fulham, esp when they are also on Sky. I said it before the season started, all clubs will find it harder to fill their grounds this season, not just Saints.
  17. Confirms what Adkins said after Everton, Fulham would be touch and go. I still suspect he will not start, but may be on the bench. Hope he starts, but only if he is fully recovered, we cannot afford a recurrence for our most influential player.
  18. Probably the easiest of the away games to be frank, their defence is even more sloppy than ours. I know its unusual for Liverpool to be crap, but they are this season, even away to Norwich they were appalling at the back, and even our defence is not as much of a rag-bag as Norwich were for that game.
  19. So, after much debate on this thread, we can now unpackage the facts. In summary SFC are redeploying programme sellers (that suggests some existing sellers)and making programmes available in different places to make it easier for punters to purchase them. It would seem that one or more existing programme sellers have been informed that their services are no longer required, which is of course highly regrettable for those individuals. Programmes will still be available, there will still be sellers outside the ground, but now you can purchase inside as well. An awful lot of fuss about almost nothing except for the caveat about sellers who no longer have a job on matchdays (which may amount to 1 person, because that is all we know about for sure). I know my daughter will be a little upset, although she had already remarked that our preferred programme seller (outside the Chapel) has not been around this season, but then we now more often that not arrive via the Northam end so would have transferred our loyalty anyway. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/location-location-location-409792.aspx
  20. COC(K)up
  21. So this is the initial squad, which will then be changed by tactical withdrawals by Messrs Ferguson and Wenger, then we will get the 2nd round picks of players who will not play but will **** of their clubs such as Saints. International football is a complete yawn and should be limited to a month each year after the proper football season has completed.
  22. And the ticket tax :-) What did the Romans ever do for us?
  23. If you had read the article you would know: "For the purposes of this analysis, produced by Opta and freely available on the excellent website whoscored.com, any attempted pass which is 25 yards or more constitutes a long ball"
  24. In other words then he was not in control. Agood ref would have clamped down on this early on. Still it really isn't too important, a light hearted remark taken out of context by the official rep of the referees union.
  25. Why is it harsh? Just a fact. Saying that 11 cards would tend to indicate a referee who has lost control somewhat.
