Is it April the 1st ? Don't like it one bit

I was expecting to see new pictures from Staplewood, but no, looks like this thread has chuff all to do about it. Has anyone any new info regarding how the build is going?
-
Think the only time it could cause a problem is if you try to lend a child's ticket to an adult. By the looks of it the new entry system shows if the ticket is a concession ticket, and there will still be people at the entrances on match days (to help).

Two new big LED screens at St Mary's for 2012/13

Think there may be a bit of confusion with the fact that the PDF page number is not the same as the brochure. 2 pages of brochure per 1 PDF page. Could be wrong without going back into it. -
With this amount of money being paid to the Premiership they should be paying us to go and watch the games not the other way round. The only people to benefit will be the over payed players, they will be the only winners. As for Sky do football better, what do we mean by this, better pundits, commentators, if that is the case let the Beeb or ITV do it, and pouch the commentators from SKY, surely this costs a lot less than what S ky is pumping in. Players we are told get paid what they do as their careers can be short, but surely they can go and work in other jobs, just like the rest of us if made redundant from our current jobs. They may think they are Gods or idols, but f**k it, they are no different than us, just the fact that they are payed silly money, but for what, kicking an inflated bit of leather.

Nice to see you have to pay an extra £1.50 for the privelage of buying on line. But in the scheme of things after a £160 hike for my ticket this year, another £1.50 is small beer, well not even 1/2 pint at St Marys

Managerial Lambert stuff to get rid?
-
If he comes to us, then he comes to us. If he doesn't then the search for another striker goes on. It will not be the biggest disappointment if we don't sign him. I never get excited until a player actually signs on the dotted line, and he trots out on the pitch.

Doesn't matter when the season tickets go on sale, it is dependant on whether you can afford one. All the talk about feel good factor etc. does not make any difference, if you haven't the money to buy one then you will not be buying one. Personally I wish to keep my money in my pocket for as long as possible, rather than sitting in the bank account of the club's. As soon as season tickets go on sale, and if i can afford to buy one, i will. Things are tight at the moment, and no doubt like many others I can not afford to pay silly money towards a season ticket. Get the pricing right is the main priority. Not puting season tickets on sale early, or hoping to make more money out of buy on the day etc. can backfire big time if you can't get support for lesser teams, and or you are having a mare, and no one wants to go and watch!

Why are people wanting to pay as much as possible for a season ticket? It seems people ridicule the fact that you can pay as little as Wigan for a season ticket. Do they not get to see the same teams play at their ground. Do we honestly think that if we pay 2 or 3 times what they do for a season ticket, we are going to win the league? It's the same when it comes to transfers, fans like to brag that they are able to pay over the top for a player, paying him many thousands of pounds in wages, not realising that in reality that money has come from their own wallets. Yes we all want to see Saints do well, but surely not at the expense of our own hard earned money.
-
You are missing my point. It has been suggested that i was one of the 'plenty of glory hunters on this site'. I have been a season ticket holder for more than 20 years, missing about 2 games, and still pay the higher price for tickets when the big clubs come to town. For that game we were not guaranteed the full first team squad of that team, and are not for future league games in the premiership. If you are expected to pay to watch an A list game you don't want to be seeing C list stars. So my point and with my original post in this thread, is that the price should be at a realistic level roughly £600 for most expensive area.
-
If you read my thread i said i don't care what players the big teams bring, i am only interested in watching Saints. As for the teams they bring Man Utd: Lindegaard, O'Shea, Evans, Smalling, Fábio Da Silva, Gibson, Anderson, Scholes, Obertan, Hernández, Owen. Subs: Kuszczak, Brown, Berbatov, Rooney, Giggs, Nani, Bébé. was the Man utd team in the FA cup last year, which we had to pay a lot more than normal to watch. Not being a Manure fan does that look to be a starting team full of stars, could be for all i know, but i didn't care, i still paid the ticket price as i wanted to see Saints
-
Anything over £35 for an individual ticket, most expensive part in the ground, £30 per season ticket holder, £600 approx. Then they can do one! I don't want to be paying over inflated prices for players wages knowing full well that the top teams will not bring their best players to Saint Marrys,(not that i give a S*** as I go to watch Saints) as they will have bigger games to protect them for, and also knowing that we will have our games F'd around by Sky.

Not sure if it has been covered before, sorry if it has, but what was the papers prediction of where we would finish up this year. Googled a bit and found that the Telegraph predicted 13th and the Guardian bottom half of the table. Does anyone else have other info. Just goes to proove how little the press pundits know. No doubt most had West Ham as being champions or at least automatic promotion.

Thank you Markus, a shame you didn't get to see this great day, and era of the club. And as with no doubt many others, we have friends and family who are not around to enjoy our celebrations. So to all my friends and family who have passed away over the last few years, and have not been down here to enjoy the momment, buy Markus a few drinks for me in the pub above.

Was posting on the original poster, not on any comments following. sorry
-
F off, every other post is positive and then you have to come up with this SH**! What is it with people when they can't even have a few hours of celebration, but seem intent to P**s on our party
-
Saints 3-0 up at half time. Sharp 2 goalsl lambert 1 Saints 6-0 at full time Sharp and Lambert hat tricks!
-
How stupid a comment. If you are playing any game it shouldn't matter about who is watching. If i play a game of pool in the pub i want to beat the opponent regardless of who is watching. You want to beat your opponent end off!
-
Maybe well done, but why should we be so PC, I don't give a damn about Readings achievement, do we feel it will be bad Karma if we don't congratulate them?

Top 5 reasons not to give a f*ck if we go up or not
Hedgehog replied to Turkish's topic in The Saints
THe worst thing about going into the Premiership will be: 1. Paying more per game expecting to see all 'the stars from the top teams' , not that i care as i just want to watch the saints, but actually seing their second tier teams as they have Champions league games to concentrate on 2. Having our games more F'd around by sky for such games 3. Relegated to snippets of coverage on Match of the day, or its like 4. Seeing ex Saints players playing against us, and no mention of their roots at Saints from the football pundits 5. W***ers like Hanson and Shearer discussing our failings -
F off you stupid Pr**k
-
Totally agree, these last 24hours has dented my positivity. Think what tipped me more to pessamism was the loss of our goal difference, that was always acting like another point needed by the opposition, now goal difference between top 3 aint much different now.
