Good article I came accross if we do go up: http://www.sabotagetimes.com/football-sport/5-reasons-why-southampton-can-cut-it-in-the-premier-league/
-
You are are knob, so Guly raked his studs down his own player? FFS it was not him who caused that injury, regardless of whether it was his fault for not cutting out the player, poor defending in your eyes, but no F'ing way did he cause that injury. And according to the S***e ref was not even a foul, suppose that was Gulys fault as well!
-
Yeh forgot he was the player who left the Pompey player totaly free at the end for them to get the equaliser. And perhaps LLanna should have done better with his efforts. Don't think Guly can be singled out today.
-
When taking his penalty i don't think it was nerves, some say he kept looking towards the ref, I can't really remember. But I think this is a tactic that Rickie uses, and MLT did, ie. they would look away from the ball before runnning up so as not to give the goalie a clue as to which way they will be going. In Sharps case the goalie went the right way. Could just as well happen to any penalty taker. As for general play, he isn't going to score if he isn't given the service.

WTF Guly was probably one of our better players today. His chance on goal was not easy, Sharp missed a penalty, so do other players in games. The main problem was that our fowards were not given a chance. No width or decent balls played in to the fowards. Hoof ball doesn't work without a Lambert type player, you have to get the ball to the byeline, can't remember many times we achieved that. LLanna although one of our better skillful players did not do much to make Messi look sh...

No width, no pace, no Lambert! Perhaps the team after knowing Wham result were not fired up enough?
-
Perhaps that was the total of their true fans, ie. not the extra 30,000 who come out of the woodwork for a cup final. Wasn't our average support around the 22,000 mark for homes games in league 1, but come a cup final an extra 30,000 suddenly want tickets as it's a final at Wembly?

Whilst what happened was really bad, and I hope he makes a full recovery, but I do feel that some of the reactions by people seems over the top. It seems as though people must react and be seen to do 'the right thing'. Minutes applauses, shrines outside the ground to me appear to be over the top. What would be possible to do if, God help it doesn't happen, that he doesn't pull through. How many games can be postponed etc. When does life carry on. Not trying to be unfeeling etc. but he is still alive, and full thanks for that. But if I remember rightly SFC didn't even have a proper recognition of the 2 fireman who tragically lost their lifes in the fire in Shirley.

Whats happened to freedom of speech?

Wish people would get off Gulys back. Don't think he had a bad game. For all of LLanas good play he is no Matty, and i am sure if Matty would have been given as much space and chances in the first half Matty would have buried those chances. A few nice back flicks/turns etc. are great to watch, but quite often the end product, a goal is not there.
-
It's not cheap! Mouths to feed, bills to pay etc. all this whilst having pay cuts or freezes, yet utility bills rising.
-
Of course i am not, no one comes close to lacing Mattys boots. But what I was trying to get accross is that if this forum site was around when Matty was, then there would be loads of idiots having a go at him. Guly makes mistakes and is immediately picked out, others can make just as many mistakes but are immune. Matty would sometimes be singled out by idiots "what has Matty done today" all this after he had scored the only goal in the game, and for the best part of it looked disinterested.
-
Don't know how long this forum site has been going, but if it was around at the time of Matty no doubt all you Guly knockers would be saying the same about him! Yes he makes mistakes, but look at the likes of LLana, he loses the ball just as much etc. but seems immune to critisiscm. For **** sake he makes errors, but is still scoring goals. What does Lambert do that does not allow critisiscm, some of his passes are just as bad, but does he track back as far as Guly? Why do people need to pick on one player who is actually scoring goals? If it isn't for a goal you are not going to win a game,

Saw the goals again briefly on South Today, looked like Fonte was being held back, one of theirs tugging/hanging on to his arm, or was i imagining it? Maybe he could have got there if not being impeded?

Sam Gallagher - Plymouth Argyle youth player to sign for Saints

What is Jack Stephens doing now? -
The problem i can see is, that although we may still be top at the momment, and not looking at the other automatic promotion contenders etc. our inability to take maximum points against the bottom teams may cost us. I can't imagine the likes of West Ham, Boro and Cardiff will go and lose to the likes of Doncaster away. Again i could be wrong, and they may already have played them.

WTF, I have been told todays lottery numbers, but i will not tell you what they are.............. The truth will come out in due course. But here they are: 2 4 7 19 22 30, and i will throw in the bonus number, and that is 6

Not whilst he plays for us, look at Oxo, once he went to Arse, is now on the fringe of full England team. Premiership or nothing as far as England are concerned!
-
Saints - Probably the least amount of column inches of any top team ever!
Hedgehog replied to theyin's topic in The Saints
My friend gets the Daily Mail. Completely carp in relation to anything outside the Manchester teams,Chelsea and Liverpool, not even very good for the Premiership, and as for Championship and below, you would need a magnifying glass to find anything at all. -
Why have they now decided to do this game, was there not already a game planned for that time slot and day? Effing great for those who have already planned their day and are having to work the morning!
-
Who gives a F, he didn't come here, end off! If we keep on winning, scoring, what more could he have brought to us?
-
Can not understand why the ticketing price has to be decided by both clubs, especially if they are only going to bring 150 supporters. Is that not taking the Pee out of the home club, by making us pay £14 rather than say a tenner.
-
i have a sneaking feeling that he lives in a house, maybe a flat, could be a mansion, or with global warming a mud hut. But then again with last years winter could it be an igloo. Or is he camping in the New Forrest?

Would we be doing any better with another manager? NO. Has worked out brilliantly for us, long may it continue.
