Sorry Windmill thats wrong...it wasn't me that stated we had put in substantial bids....for what its worth you don't have to spend fortunes to get in decent players in League 1 and no I don't think we need to either. I do believe we could of got better without paying a fortune. Would BWP for 200k been such a gamble as Forte? To me he would of been ideal for us - good player to bring on with 20 mins to go. Ideal League One player as proved by his goals this season.

What are you basing on Forte being a good player...how many times have you seen him play?? 10 goals in 118 games yeah bloody hell lets sign that sort of striker rather than a proven one! Christ it ****es me off that some fans get moaned at for having some ambition.

I am sure he does its just he wants to be Alpine 2 The Sequel. He has been on Adkins case since day one with an irrational dislike of Adkins based on a 'feeling I have'. Personally I am not convinced totally but that is based on me watching him, the team display, tactics and substitutions after half a season not a couple of days.

Exactly where I am coming from too. The standard this season is appalling and we are just as bad lately. Swindon were shocking and we let them dominate for 25 minutes and got out of jail. We are serial bottlers and play-offs at best for me...not even the final unless we find some magic formula. I still think we will rue not getting in McKail-Smith....N'Guessan and Forte are not the standard of players we should of signed and we needed the insurance that MCKS would of bought us not a 10 goals in 118 games player. I agree with this - will add Jaidi was awesome - keep reading people say how he will be beaten by pace - yet who timed his run and tackle to perfection when Fonte got left for dead? Lambert had his best game in ages, Barnard coming on gave us the movement we were lacking between the 25-50th minutes. Harding and Davis could of both done better for their goal. 3 points was vital today - still worried about our performance as doesn't look automatic form yet and a better team than Swindon may have punished us.
