  1. Yes its called experience - you never ever make a decision in life based on what has happened before have you?? I called the Echo a two bit rag and it is...that has been my stance for a number of years - even when your love god was here reaking havoc and running this club into the ground the Echo was a sh1te paper running sensationalist stories that you have so conveniently forgotten. You may want the local chip paper running this club...controlling every piece of publicity...me I will go by the people that have done a great job so far.
  2. Anyone who goes into football expecting to make money are a sandwich short of a picnic! How many clubs are facing financial problems and why do we have no debt? The reason the club has a large and supportive fan base is the way Nicola and Ml have run things unlike the previous lot who had gates about 5k less!
  3. Why do some fans need to champion trouble and make it when its not there? This is a two bit rag against a guy that has come in and hardly put a thing wrong and practically stopped us going out of existence. Yet some of you want to forget all that and side with a prize numpty of a journalist so that you can come on here pretending to be in the know and rant out some more against the club when all is going well. Some of you just love the club being in the sh1te so you can post your bile and never be satisfied I swear some would rather we be in the position we were in May/June so they can get there " I told you so" digs. Why do we need the Echo? If you want a ticket you phone the club, talk to a mate, find someone who has an internet connection, go to a library...how many bought ST's were sold because the Echo told them how to buy one? What sells more ST and match day tickets then, Nicola running the club correctly and us winning 3-0 or being in love with the local chip paper who love nothing better than having a spat with the club as it gives them something to print when otherwise they have very little!! No-one is pretending that the club gets things wrong occasionally and will p1ss some off now and then or we should just hoover up everything we are spun. There are some though that will side with the Echo over the club because they have a bit to gain and it isn't hard to fathom out who and why!
  4. Wouldn't of happened at The Emirates would it!
  5. Bloody hell that makes 3 of us....I thought it was just me ....she looks really dirty ;-)
  6. The relationship between the club and the Echo has been awful for years. I remember talking to a reporter at Staplewood at a reserve game....in fact I was stood next to Theo and his dad at the time....(name dropper) and he said that Rupert and the echo's relationship was awful and had hit big problems and he had banned them coming to the ground etc. All the requests had to go via Saints pressroom and were getting rejected. The coverage during our recent struggles was abysmal....if the echo want to get into a war with Nicola there will be only one winner. The fans will back the person responsible for getting us out of the mess not a third rate rag of a paper that I stopped buying years ago due it being so rubbish with its sports coverage.
  7. The roads around Marchwood are a nightmare at school times but that doesn't affect anything the school chooses to do. I had to take my car to the garage and got stuck in the school Chelsea tractor run which was far worse than any Reserve matchday traffic. How many games are played at Stapelwood that attract big crowds...yes the onsite car parking is atrocious but its always coned off on the roads to avoid neighbours getting affected. I agree the football has grown massively in Marchwood but its also provided quite a few jobs for the locals as well so it has it's positives.
  8. As much as I dislike the Skates I do not want them to go out of business, there are many small businesses(fishmongers etc), families and dare I say odd decent fan that does not deserve this and would suffer as such. We were in a similar position and got lucky.....there for the grace of god and all that. Harry will come in and rescue them anyway he said as much recently and I believe evry word he says...Pinocchio.
  9. He would of played him left wing.
  10. Also Madjewski isn't mentally unstable enough to get rid of a decent manager and bring in useless Dutchmen with history of failure wherever they have been unlike here at that time. Makes you realise how great going to SMS is now with only Papa and offside to shout about ;-)
  11. Where the **** do you get depressed out of a 2 line post? You never saw the game did you.. for the first 20 minutes we looked poor...tired, off the pace, lumping balls forward to a lone striker against a giant of a defender. Playoffs ...we looked more like relegation certainties had we played against a decent team not Wycombe. Pardew changed the tactics and its brilliant to have someone who reads the game and not go Burleyesque! We then at times showed the gulf in class but then the crowd and players got frustrated with us not killing it off. It was then comedy of errors, shocking misses and worry that they would snatch victory from us with a fluke or lucky deflection. No-one was more elated and pleased with a victory than me...it was bloody freezing at SMS and it warmed me up tremendously getting out of the bottom 4. But Wycombe were abysmal and I refuse to get carried away and will not do until we are up the table and away. I have supported Saints for too long not too - we are an injury away from Lambert to be up the creek again or someone luring away our management team. If thats being depressed so be it I think its more realism.
  12. TBF Wycombe were pretty sh1te and wouldn't of scored if they had stayed all night! I cannot remember more than 1 save from Bart and think that was going wide.
  13. Me too especially as I have a hotel booked for this one....New Years shopping then seeing Saints beat Brentford was the plan...I forgot to look at the cup dates..what a plonker!
  14. We didnt mate we won at home...but get your point. How many games over the years have we lost like this one? A win is a win...I would rather us win 3-2 each week then see us go out ultra defensive and get 0-0's. Yes a clean sheet would be nice but whilst we are winning I don't give a dam. Nice positive post Alps keep it up.
  15. Is that lorry full of Liebherr's money you keep wanting to spunk away?
  16. Can you send John Westwood your seat number so he knows which one to urinate on. I agree it makes sense but this is England and 'every mans home is his castle' and we are a mental territorial lot and would never be able to get past those prejudices you mentioned. The West Ham - Millwall riots this year showed this country still has a long way to go before we could even consider ground sharing unless its with another sport like Rugby(but who wants a ruined pitch!)
  17. Are you being serious or is this another one of your wind up posts? Last time I looked Sheff Weds were a division higher.....tough choice for Feeney! "Ok Max....Leeds who look like walking the league this year are interested in you or there is Southampton who are in the relegation zone"....you decide!
  18. Probably because he didn't want to dislocate his shoulder again ;-)
  19. Whilst I think Adam has a talent I am not so sure he is Premiership material, he lacks the one thing that you need at that level and thats pace. Yes he has fantastic ability on the ball at this level but can that be transferred up 2 levels against far better quality defenders...mostly internationals? I think he will move on in the summer but can see it being to one of the top CCC not Premiership it just may be a recently promoted CCC side though.
  20. Yep must of been abysmal training and getting an apprenticeship from one of the best footballers in the world at that time Thierry Henry. He has been unlucky with injuries....that doesn't mean he hasn't learnt anything watching, training and being coached by some of the best. Afterall he could of turned down the chance of a Wenger for a Wotte!
  21. Totally agree....now just how do we get rid of that trumped up tart Jordan who I cannot tolerate.
  22. I heard on the radio this morning that they are clamouring to sign up Jedward for their autobiography! At a price so far of £250k....wtf!! I hate the way society now triumphs talentless numpties just because they appear on a 2nd rate reality TV.
  23. 2 sloppy goals from mistakes which are happening far too free frequent but the one big positive I take is that now at long last from set pieces we actually compete and win headers. After watching season upon season of forwards having free headers in our area this is one positive we can take....if you want to.
  24. As I have never served HM forces being the coward that I am its difficult to criticise him. Without knowing the conditions he was asked to work in either BUT there are many soldiers especially in the 1st WW that served in far worse conditions who didnt run. He did sign up knowing full well what a ****e place the world is and us being the lapdog of the US getting drawn into their wars that there was a huge possibility he would face action. As you say when you sign up you sign away all freedom of speech. When I left school a few mates joined up..I didn't as I didn't want to go to N Ireland to be shot at or blown up was NI far worse than Afghanistan? This war is far more political than any other I have known and everyday you hear stories of under equipped soldiers fighting a war that many feel we should not be involved in and to that the reason those groups are all too willing to use him as a hero for desertion to get one back at Brown. I have nothing but admiration for the forces that are serving, however it was their choice to sign up and should carry out whatever is being asked. Charged for desertion is where I come down on here.
