  1. 442? Wash your mouth out young man, that is not The Southampton Way. Thou shalt isolate the striker and make him look sh1t - this is The Southampton Way
  2. We got battered in the central midfield area and had no idea when we had the ball (which wasn't often). Feel for Gabby. The guy doesn't stand a chance
  3. Redmond has dragged that one wide of the left post in 19
  4. Forster is generally late to react to shots at his feet whereas someone like Jack Butland would have dealt with that shot much better than Forster did. I've probably been a bit slow to come to the conclusion that Forster is not the guy I want between our sticks, but he makes me ask "Could he have done better there?" way way too much. I've been wanting to give him the benefit of the doubt too much for it to mean he is a good keeper in my opinion. Saints have been blesses with some excellent keepers and he isn't one of them unfortunately. And Le Tiss in that game against Italy - I remember thinking he was our best player up to the point that he went off.

If he walks on the pitch in a Saints shirt and shows decent commitment then cheer him on. He ain't our wife and he hasn't banged the milkman. I don't care about him as much as he doesn't care about us, but he gets my vote if he does the business on the pitch right up until the point that he buggers off elsewhere. When that happens I'll have forgotten him and be cheering on his replacement.
  6. Woah! I love Le Tiss as much as the next man but his toe wasn't that big. Beckham in his prime was an incredible player. His talent in a football pitch, and his winner mentality, is beyond question for me.
  7. This
  8. Maybe I shouldn't mention that Jan Molby is a closet Arsenal fan then, and always has been.
  9. I hate the 'forcing a move' tactics players use these days (on request of their agents i'm sure) and I certainly wish our players would display the integrity of a Griezmann, but at the same time, if you show me a club that shows any kind of loyalty to a player when it doesn't suit them I'll show you that I don't really know how to finish this sentence. Loyalty is a two way street and I think both parties only drive one way when it suits them. So is there much point in criticizing the player when everyone knows the way the game is played?
  10. My mistake, it was late April. Here is the link to the article: http://www.visir.is/g/2017170429953/southampton-komid-i-slaginn-um-gylfa I know it's paper talk but Iceland has a small population, so I would tend to believe there is something in it a bit more than I would if it was printed in The Sun.
  11. There was actually a 'scoop' in an Islandic paper back in February(ish) saying GS was in his way to us so it might not be completely out of the question. My Zlatan-loving Icelandic workmate sent me it back then with the obligatory witty comments about us finally getting our act together. I could dig that out and post it here lest I get the egg treatment but it might be more fun to what certain people go at me first and then post it. In any case I don't think GS is entirely out of the question because there has been smoke.
  12. Exactly. The Cucster was never gonna win PL player of the year but he did a job and always gave 100%. Nothing wrong with him as deep cover at RB and he can come round my house for tea any time he likes.
  13. 6. 5.5 actually. I sincerely hope Alpine does not top himself at all and continues to amuse me with his wum skills
  14. Only an 80's child would even suggest it. Bags Jeff is 50+
  15. He talks to God though! I think he would know.
  16. How many pens did a committed Fonte give away last season when he cared? How many so far this season when he cares?
  17. Is his name Paul?
  18. Hell no! Let's sign someone, anyone, and then make a grand speech about Celtic's ambition.
  19. 'Hoi Byeah' is more or less how you say it
  20. Nah, i've never seen him play an attacking midfield role. He's always played a Morgan type role, albeit he generally does things at a quicker pace than Morgan does.
  21. Højbjerg is a very good player. Very technical player, rarely gives the ball away and he's got a pass on him (although he mostly likes to keep it short). He would also tackle a brick wall. You have to admire how Saints pull this stuff off time and time again.
  22. Let's just get this Marco Silva guy and be done with it, I mean how hard can it be? He's got the Midas touch and he raises a firm middle finger at company dress code. I like that.
  23. Christ, maybe Lukaku will look at that and stay!!!
  24. Well that's that then. I'm sorry to see Erwin go :-(
  25. £5M for Koeman's last year is great business. I feel like WE have nicked THEIR hubcaps.
