Saints XI just means the whole squad is involved. You get first teamers, reserves and then youth. I think last season nearly all our friendlies where Saints XI.

Liverpool will certainly have the most settled side. If Benitez doesn't win it for them next season he should be sacked or resign as I doubt he will ever get an easier chance to win the league. Not really sure who United will buy, Valencia looks a done deal and maybe Silva to play on the left with Rooney taking a more prominent role through the middle. Chelsea are in with a shout as always just depends how Ancelotti does and what sort of players he brings in.

Going into Admin in the morning apparently the channel is going at midnight. They budgeted to break even at 1.9, customers and only have 1.2m. Not really suprised they're going down the ****ter.

Tesco atm do 45 cans of Fosters, Carlsberg or John Smiths for 20 quid. Think there is a similar deal on bottles with Stella and maybe Bud but I can't really remember the price or amount on that. Apparently the cold beer amnesty thing could still be happening, not sure it's worth the risk though since the Carling website is a bit hazy on details.

He is no way near as good as people think. Hardly suprising that United aren't willing to spend 25 million on him. Signing Valencia for 16m and playing Ronaldo upfront more often makes sense imo. He'll do well for City but I think they would be better off signing more of a traditional English style centre forward. They've jsut got a load of midgets up front and need someone like Benzema, Carew, Adebayor etc to break down teams away.

He said he enjoyed himself so i'm sure he'll be coming down again. Would be good to get a second goalie involved, I do have another mate who's a keeper and plays for my 5-a-side team, i'll see if he wants to come down next Sunday.

Argentina aren't the second best side in the world. They've got the attacking talent to be that good but a shoddy defence and a clueless inexperienced manager. Germany, Spain and Brazil are all better than Argentina imo and then Croatia, England, Holland and Italy are all on par.

Hopefully we will get another home tie against a Premiership team like last year.
