It is championship winning form again, we're back to the sort of form we had from Feb-May last season. Just need to keep this up now, would love another decent cup run, hopefully a big away game in the third round.

Both need to show a bit of consistency if they're going to force there way back into our team.

If we don't go up as Champions it will Cortese's fault for messing around with the manager and taking his time appointing Adkins. We are easily one of the best two teams player for player in the league.

Probably because we're playing Shrewsbury on Saturday and Fonte has hardly missed a game since he joined us.

The train companies have almost doubled the prices just because it's the last Saturday before xmas. Four travelling together from Soton the week before costs £30 pp, on the 18th 52pp. Looked at going on the national express from Southampton and it was just as expensive. We are going up to London Victoria and then getting national express from there to Birminham, think it works out at £25 each based on four travelling together. Gets to Birmingham at 12.35 so I'll be fairly drunk by then I'd have thought

Well obviously, 7 points from any three games is a fantastic return, no one's going to win every game.

We're getting there but it's nothing to get too excited about yet. We've basically got to the point where we are playing as well as we did from Feb - May, now we just need to get Ricky back on song and I'm sure we will win the league.

It's ridiculous to suggest we drop Harding. Every time I've seen Dickson at left back he's looked poor, Harding has and always will be dependable.

Same team as Saturday IMO. No need to rest or roate players when we're out of the JPT and League Cup already.

Only have to look at our bench to see how strong a squad we've got. Just need a few things to click and we should shoot up the league. Come on you saints.

I don't base my opinion on what others say or idle rumour. He's made some serious PR gaffs over the last 6-9 months. Removing the ST installment plan after the STH charter, the photography ban (fair play he realised and sorted it quickly), the whole moaning in the press about our league form and obviously sacking Pardew at the wrong time... I've said a few times he should get a good PR person or team in, he obviously hates the press and can't deal with them. Would save himself a lot of embarassment. Like I've said he's doing a decent enough job, just could be a lot better. Will be very interesting to see how he backs Adkins in January and what he does at the end of the season if we haven't achieved promotion. Personally I think the Pardew situation has or will knock us back a year.

On what basis is he the best chairman outside the PL? He's done well so far but lets not get ahead of ourselves.

Not creating enough and not taking enough... I'm sure we will find our scoring groove and be back to normal soon.

I think we are being too cautious and patient on the ball, by the time we get the ball forward we've already played a few passes and the opposition have got everyone back to defend and there isn't so much space for the full backs to get into. It is a little bit one dimensional at the moment, I'm sure it will come with time. Last season we where far more direct and played on the counter meaning we had more space for Harding, James and Ostemebor to get into.

Haven't seen anything to suggest Butterfield was any better than James if I'm being honest, just another steady eddie. I think Richardson will be different though, give him a few games to kick into things and get used to playing with Puncheon and I think we will get a few more goals from the right hand side.

If the shoe was on the other foot and we get United or Arsenal in R3 I wonder if we will have such an attitude towards cheapest possible tickets? I doubt it. This is just another PR blunder IMO, right idea but wrong execution. Just makes the club and Cortese look petty.

Maybe they allready have? FWIW even with a business model based just on our football based income and nothing from the Liebherrs being put into the club we should have more than enough about us to get promoted within a couple of seasons if we can get a bit of stability off the pitch - keep Adkins for a while!
