The problems have come about because we loaned out Puncheon and failed to replace him. No one in their right mind would think Holmes is reliable enough. There simply has to be a reason why.

We haven't really got any options on the bench. Loaning out Puncheon and not replacing him in the window is one of the most ridiculous decisions we've made for a while. Only really points to one thing IMO, a lack of money. This whole 'plan b' thing is crap anyway, Adkins had a plan and changed it, neither of the gameplans worked. Pardew was the same, we changed our game plan plenty with him in charge it just didn't always work out.

Dont see the point in picking single players out when the team performs so poorly.

Try albatross hostel. Think it's 20 quid a night.

As far as I know his original injuries where knee related and this is his ankle.

What a shocker! Honestly didn't see that coming when we loaned out Puncheon. He has been a injury ridden liability ever since we signed him. Would be half decent at this level if he had two working knees.

He has done an amazing job this season. Last season I thought he had just done par for the course, as expected but he's really kick on this season. Makes you wonder why it all went so wrong with us.

I think the problem with the re-arranged game would be the cost of the flights, even if we book them straight away it will be probably be closer to £150 than the £70 I paid in the summer also it would be a tuesday/wednesday night stay, not exactly the nightlife we where after. I'm sure we will play some northern tin pot club next season so should be fine.

Was a few months before admin. Tommy Forecast = 10% sell on clause... Nice.

We got a refund on our flights from Flybe, the hostel says we can get our money off another stay, so hopefully Boro will stay in the NPC and we can stay in Newcastle when we play them next season.

Got my ticket refund today, good to see they refund the full amount including the booking fee.

Considering how Pardew noticed and sorted our transfer targets prior to this summer I find it very hard to believe he thought Butterfield, Richardson and Dickson would be enough going into the season. I just think that was all of our budget gone, or at least all of the budget made available to Pardew. Prehaps Cortese didn't trust him after the players he bought and failed to gain promotion, who knows, either way I don't think Pardew would over look the need for an attacking midfielder or cover for Lambert. I actually thought we started the season in quite good form, obviously the points wheren't coming but we had some good performances, we created so many good headed chances against Plymouth it was just unfortunate we didn't score one before they got their lucky goal. Beating Bournemouth was a good result and the performance against Bolton was encouraging despite the result, for large periods we played the ball around a lot better than they did. Orient was the only real poor performance and in all honest we should have won that. We will have to disagree about Pardew turning around our fortunes, you can throw money at a club and not improve but Pardew really knew the sort of player we needed, Hammond, Jaidi, Harding are the three who spring to mind, fantastic signings which helped stabalize the club. I'm not even a massive Pardew fan tbh... I just don't understand such negative views towards his tenure here =/

Getting us to the play offs last season would have been a huge acheivment, we dropped far too many points early doors when we had the wrong mentality and where carrying far too many players. We showed League winning for from about November. Didn't seem the the dressing room was lost while we put four past Bristol Rovers.... Had 500K or so to spend and adressed the main problem position which was right back and also bought in a decent left sided player, who knows how much of a budget was available to him? I'm not sure why everyone on here is so quick to have a pop at Pardew, he's gone and we've got someone else in will hopefully take us up. For me I'll remember Pardew for being the manager who turned us around after years of going backwards. It's similar to when Pearson left and he got slated by a fair percentage of fans when in reality he done a great job in the circumstances.

Doesn't mean much really. I'm just not at all suprised by this rumour (of course it could be rubbish and probably is) it seems to me that there has been something not quite right at the club for a while. All started when the promises made in the supporters charter where broken, then there was the sacking of Pardew again wasn't at all suprised and plenty of other things that have happened as well. I just think there is something wrong somewhere. I'm not ITK or anything that's just my general feel on things.

Spot on. Manager and players are trained not to give anything away in these interviews. Giggs and Scholes are two to look out for, they come across as so dull and boring because they know exactly what to say after years of experience.

That would be fairly **** and in all honesty would probably be the route we'd end up going down. Would end up in exactly the same position as we where pre-admin just in a lower league.

Is that a joke about Bale? He's 21 and one of the best wingers in the world. He left us at the right time, there's now way he'd be that good if he stayed here and spent a year working with the dutch clowns ....
