A draw at Hartlepool on a Tuesday isn't a bad result if you look at it on it's own but we can't afford to keep drawing away after basically losing a month of the season between Pardew and Adkins, we've got to make sure we don't become stagnant in the play offs. We really need to get back into our stride very quickly. The two games against Charlton are getting bigger and bigger, I really hope we can take our full allocation to the Valley, it could be our most important game for 18 months... six points from the Charlton games and I think we will have the belief and confidence to go on to finish second or win the play offs, otherwise we could well end up in a play off final against Charlton coming off the back of two games against them... another season rebuilding in this league with another manager isn't worth thinking about.

Sent my application. Hopefully my tickets I bought for the five postponed fixtures will still count towards my total as i've only been to five games without those included. If I don't get a ticket Ill probably still go down on the day for the session before and try to blag a ticket.

Howdens is good stuff although it's obviously trade only... The very best stuff is the 12mm stuff from Floors-2-go, that's where I usually get my laminate from. If you want cheap and cheerfull you can get 6mm stuff from Magent for £3 p/sm although that's trade only as well. Also if you want to make a proper job of it take the skirting board of and replace afterwards. you can get away with using the old skirting easy or a length of 119mm mdf primed skirting is like £4. If you use a skirting trim you will regret it very quickly. It looks naff, doesn't last and just makes the job look very amatuer-ish. Real wood is obviously better but the prices are ridiculous. Get a half decent jigsaw and laying laminate is a piece of ****, the old hard sections will be the thresholds between rooms. I usually use hardwood carpent threshold step from Travis Perkins which I think to normal customers comes to £20 for a standard threshold. Rout a small chunk out the bottom and stick it over the two lots of flooring between rooms and it looks far more profressional, even if you're laying laminate in two joining rooms it will looks better with a proper threshold. Also worth picking up a couple of the round trims to cover the bottom of radiator pipes. If you need any more help PM me on here, I've laid about 20 laminate floors over the last year from budget to top end and a few real wood floors so can answer most questions. Floors-2-go is the best place to get your gear from, they're very helpfull if you go to the hedge end branch.

Bringing in that under21 / option to buy rule would just affect the smaller teams more. Sure we'd get an advantage because we're the big fish at the moment, would really cost us when we're trying to get out of the CCC or trying to survive in the prem.

Lowe and Wilde both done a very poor job for the majority... Cortese is doing well, just nothing special. There is a difference. Lets be honest we aren't going to be getting Champions League football anytime soon.

Cortese would have to do far more than get us into the Champions League to be considered anywhere near the level of Matt. Matt was a real one of a kind, Cortese while doing well enough is really nothing special.

They could save a fortune getting rid of the health and safety brigade and letting all the blokes on the street actually do some work.

The maintenance work agencies usually do is un professional, rushed and usually left unfinished, they usually charge a premium for it as well. Its always far better to shop around and get any sort of problem fixed yourself.

Dickson is the better football, but I would much prefer to see Harding starting every week. He's far more likely to show true mettle when the chips are down and gives us some much needed passion and enthusiam in the back four. Pops up with some important goals as well.

Nearly everyone who leaves ends up doing well. Baird, Bale, Jones, Walcott... Even Surman is playing way above our level with Norwich. He will probably leave before too long and I can't blame him for that, he is a class above anyone in our side or the league. Fantastic talent.

A striker to replace Connolly, someone with genuine pace. Ideally someone big and strong in the Kenwnye mould who can lead the line. Doubt there are many players like that knocking around in League one though. A winger to replace Holmes. Someone young who won't mind being fourth choice. A winger/attacking central midfielder to replace Puncheon. Ryan Harley seems to be doing very well for Exeter. And if we're serious about building a team to win the Championship I think we should be looking at a centre back to replace Jaidi. No one really springs to mind but we need another massive ball winning type player. ****tu would be a good shout.

We have hardly played recently... would be ridiculous to rest players unless Adkins wants us to go out of the FA cup (would be fair enough i guess) but seriosuly these players shouldn't be tired after the last month or so.

Three changes from a 4-0 winning side... bad idea.
