January is fine really, Im sure if he is doing well for us and playing the deal will be extended until the end of the season. Spurs probably just wanted to make sure he's getting games.

A very important run of games, 12 points or more would be fantastic and anything less than nine would be quite bad.

I doubt it, he has been involved with the first team a lot so far, unlike Euell, Skacel, Thomas etc who we are trying to get rid off. Three senior strikers and Patterson waiting in the reserves is a decent amount for the squad considering John can play a bit deeper and McGoldrick can play on the right.

There is probably a setanta game on at the same time or a Monday premiership game on Sky.

I can't see it happening myself, interesting that we must have some money to spend though. I think Higgingbotham would be a decent signing if he did come, he's certainly better than Perry and Thomas and he could do a job at left back if we're short. Maybe we're looking for a Surman replacement...

I doubt anyone here has seen him play, but he seems highly rated and he's an U21. If he's a decent player it will be an important player to have in the squad, two strikers isn't enough for a whole season.

Indeed, especially considering the general age of the side. Consistency is key to getting out of this league. I'd go for Thomas or Cork in for Svensson and if James is injured then both. I'd also like to see John, Dyer and Mills get 30 minutes each. If Reading do come in with a last minute bud for Surman it would be nice for Mills to have featured already.

I don't know a single person who won't be going to SMS this season because of Lowe, I know about 15 people who couldn't be bothered to renew/go to games based on how crap last season was. Lets notforget quite how bad it was, for the first time in 15 years going to see Saints play was becoming a chore. 2k is a load of ********, the majority of Saints fans couldn't give a toss who's chairman just so long as we're winning.

I agree he is a similar mould to Paul Scholes but he's not even close to the level Scholes is/was. Scholes is probably the best English midfielder of the last 20 or so years, only Le Tissier even comes close for me. Paul Schole light, maybe.

A player or two may well be sold and we will probably get way above market value with a heft sell on clause?
