Why on earth would you want Skacel playing in place of Gillett? The only way I could see Skacel getting a game for us with everyone fit would be in the hole with Lallana on the right. I hope he leaves tonight tbh and i'm quite sure he will. He never lived up to the hype and unfit players really get on my tits. Holmes is a better player and unlike Skacel is still running after 90 giving everything.

I think the only position JP will change would be right wing with either Dyer/Thompson there or maybe McGoldrick with Stern or Pekhart upfront. We where fine everywhere else, some of the players seem like they could do with the break we have coming up.

I can't be bothered to read the whole thread, but I agree 100%, the fans where a joke yesterday. I've never been so embarrassed by some sections of the crowd. Booing, getting angry at the odd misplaced pass, moaning because McGoldrick couldn't beat 4 defenders on his own and score. You could tell it was affecting the players as well, too often they where rushing things and making the wrong pass. I actually think we would have won that game if it where away, the away following is so much better, no way near as many mindless idiots. The last thing which the lads need are bunch of idiot fans booing anything, I honestly wonder if all those booing had gone at all last season, we where more entertaining yesterday than nearly every other home game in 2008.

An unfortunate result from what was a good performance over all. Lallana was very unlucky especially and I though the ref was a joke. I was very disappointed by the fans though, ******s to a man, pathetic at times.

I can't believe people are suggesting we drop Killer, especially when it's Thomas coming in to replace him....

Pahars? what the ****, seriously. He was worth every penny just for those goals when he first arrived and saved us and that goal against the Skates. Or his great goal against United... so many memories, I can't believe anyone could mention him.

I doubt anyone knows how much we're paying Cork and Pekhart but I assume most of te money will be being paid by their proper clubs. I think Euell, BWP and Skacel will all leave on deadline day.

People need to actually watch him play before making judgement on him. He's in exactly the same boat as Lee Holmes just a few years earlier. Moving to a good footballing side may help get the best out of him. Not a glamour signing by any stretch but he's another body in the squad and will hopefully become more usefull as the season progresses and players get suspended, tired or injured.

Gillett for me. Svensson, Schneiderlin, Lallana and McGoldrick are all very close.

If he's as good as Schneiderlin then we will have a ridiculously good midfield five. It's already so much better than last seasons shambles of a midfield. Someone to give competition to Lallana can only be a good thing, will be good to give him a rest when needed and someone to keep him on his toes in training. Hopefully we will find someone to take Euell, Skacel and BWP off our hands before the end of the window.
