Terry and Ferdinand are quite easily our first choice centre back pairing and quite rightly. Woodgate, Carragher, Lescott, Richards etc aren't even close imo, now Ledley King if he could ever stay fit would have a case but he is unfotunatley perma-crocked. As for Capello being the same as every other England manager picking the same old faces I tend to agree but there are only so many things he can change really. I'd like to see Bentley, Young or even Downing on the wing instead of Beckham with Joe Cole on the other flank, i've no idea why Young isn't even in the squad. I can't really see Gerrard and Rooney working in the same side unless one of them plays on the wing, but we have so many talented wingers that it's a waste. I can't see us winning anything or coming close to winning anything with the current crop of players, we don't exactly have many decent youngsters aside from Walcott, Richards and Rooney so I doubt it will change much in the near future.

Dyer needs to be in the starting eleven imo. I'd probably drop McGoldrick.

What? of course he has. He was quite easily our best player last season in his 23 games for us. The fee we paid for shouldn't really have any relevance in regards to how much we get for him anyway.

1.5m is no way near enough. Danny ****tu who is like 5 years older than Davies cost 2.25m, just a ridiculous deal if it's true.

If we sell Davies I will be so ****ing ****ed off. Might as well give up and just accept we will be in league one next year. We would be mad to even consider selling him for just 1.5m.

Kaboul isn't exactly the best signing ever either, terrible defender who's just about average on the ball. Hopefully Arsenal will come in with a last minute bid for Kranjcar on deadline day.

They're obviously happy with James and Surman as our full backs with Hatch and Mills to cover. It's not ideal but it's obviously better than spunking money we can't afford. As for loaning promising young premiership loans, whats the point if they're aren't any better than what we've got?

Looking at it like that makes me think we would have a very strong squad if everyone stayed around. The club is running out of time if we're going to sell them, maybe it will be a mass exodus on the 31st.

How is it irrelevant to us? I really don't understand how a football couldn't care about a cup competition. We're obviously not going to win it but a quarter final or so isn't out of the question and that would bring a few quid into the club and be a few decent games to watch. Are FA cup run, pre Bristol Rovers was just about the only exciting thing we did last season. I'd quite like to get one of the Premiership top4 away, preferably Arsenal because I haven't done the Emirates yet or a league one/two side at home.

Good result, really glad we're taking this cup seriously. The last couple of seasons have been a joke.

I can't figure out why we signed a third keeper either really, would have made better sense to just put a recall option into Pokes loan and maybe use the Forcast wages/fee on a more important position or even keeping a senior pro.
