Great news, it is about time his hard work has been recognised. Maybe being captain of a team sat 2nd in the prem makes people stand up and take notice even if we're not in the Champs league.

I think if Shaw stayed with us this season he'd be having a blinder under Koeman. A manager who would want him and encourage him and he's play free from pressure and criticism that LVG piles on to him. That said, Bertrand has been excellent and I want us to make it permanent in Jan if possible, one of the reasons we're flying so high in the league.

It's nice to know but West Brom and West Ham aside we've played different teams, at the end of September we went on a 6 game unbeaten run last season so it'll be interesting so it will be interesting to see where we are in comparison after 10-11 games.

I'm of the opinion that Koeman asked him to prove himself to him to earn a new contract and I wouldn't be surprised if one was being written up for him. We don't know what's going on behind the scenes but Koeman is certainly getting him play well and is showing great attitude, if his dad can shut up on the other hand then maybe a contract will be forthcoming.

He did say home debut to be fair. He struggles not to include players from the fashionable teams, two Man City players in defence and they conceded two goals.
