  1. Will always be a Saints legend for me, not only did he take us back up through the leagues but he did so with calmness, humour and good football. Not liked a Saints manager so much since WGS. Nobody's perfect and he did make mistakes with us, but I would love to see him at another ambitious club with a decent budget to be given a fair crack of the whip. If that means dropping down to L1, so be it.
  2. Hump de bump
  3. Xhaka could be a good replacement for Morgan in the summer. Will be a good player in years to come. Highly doubt we'd get Doumbia, he'll want European football. Excellent player though.
  4. Yeah, it's not your normal "tribalism in football" stuff, ties into larger national and political identity concepts. Interesting stuff.
  5. Putting this up here for a friend for his dissertation - if y'all could fill this out it would help him a lot. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1Jg8H3qdzr2ijsRKe6xLIfaCdVJXMtkAyOxblgM9U6Jk/viewform?c=0&w=1
  6. That David McGoldrick is meant to be good.
  7. Of course I do, just not going to get dragged into another one of your petty arguments.
  8. Slow day at the burger van is it Batman?
  9. Srsly though, what's wrong with female ejaculation? Imagine if they'd put "male ejaculation" on the list! Ridonkulous.
  10. Was just about to submit my application for The Apprentice before I read this. Had a great business plan centered around fisting videos. Now that's ruined. Thanks Obama.
  11. Got to put out a strong one for this. --------------------FORSTER----------------------- CLYNE---FONTE---TOBY---TARGETT -------------------WANYAMA--------------------- --------------DAVIS------REED------------------- JWP---------------LONG----------------MANE Don't want to risk Morgan, he's far too important. Can't have him getting injured again. Mane will scare the sh!t out of their defence, hopefully will be a nice confidence booster for him.
  12. Nail. Head. We've missed him so much.
  13. New Wu-Tang album. Still the best in the game by a distance.
  14. Surprised at how well West Ham are doing recently - although as pointed out above they have some tough games to go. They finally seem to have goals in their side though which can only be a good thing for them given that they've spent the last 3 years focusing on defensive organisation. There's a few teams around that have a chance of Top 6, I think us West Ham, Swansea and Newcastle are all in with a good shout given how poor Spurs, Liverpool and Everton have been this season.
  15. He was actually top of my list when I was talking to my brother about targets for January. Although Wanyama is a very dominant presence in midfield he doesn't get high enough up the pitch, and Sissoko works excellently behind a striker providing a bit of presence and power. Also good in a deeper role, similar to Yaya Toure. I don't hold out much hope of getting him because at the moment we'd be very much a sideways step from Newcastle, especially as the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea are keeping tabs on him. I would still like to see us get in somebody to cover RB. Alderweireld can do a job there but he's very important for us at CB so we shouldn't have to move him out because we don't have the depth in the squad. I like the look of Adam Henley from Blackburn - quite similar to Clyne in how he plays but not the finished product yet.
  16. He is a die-hard Boca fan so I guess if they want him then he'll end up there provided they can pay his way. Not sure if he would still harbour any ambitions of getting back the striker spot for the national team, what with the likes of Balotelli, Immobile, Cerci and now Pelle in front of him in the pecking order. If he wanted to fight for that place he may choose to stay in Italy with Inter or another team. Ultimately we just need to get shot of him. We can afford to cut our losses on him now, although I do hope for the guys sake that he ends up somewhere he can settle because he seems to be quite troubled. He'd be revered at Boca so he may plump for being the popular choice as opposed to having to fight to regain his reputation elsewhere as he has been doing for the last 4 or 5 years.
  17. Watched Interstellar last night. Wasn't sure I was going to bother after hearing some very mixed reviews but I enjoyed it. The film seems to be in 3 very distinct parts: Part 1 - Focuses on a Father/Daughter relationship in a pre-apocalyptic world. Part 2 - Bog standard space exploration stuff. Part 3 - Completely batsh!t crazy magic. First real innovative sci-fi i've seen in years. The first 2 acts are maybe a little weak, especially the second act, but it's more than rectified by an utterly brilliant last hour which manages to be thrilling, emotional and satisfying in a very long film. Well worth a watch.
  18. Purchased, cheers pal. Did look on eBay but was wondering if anyone had any specific recommendations. Nice to know it's sorted now though!
  19. Hi gang, My laptop upped and died a couple of weeks ago and I need to buy a replacement motherboard. Model number i'm looking for is Asus K55VD, but i'm wondering if anyone has suggestions for sites to buy one from. Found one on a site called BeyondMotherboard but before I take the plunge I thought if anyone has a suggestion for a reputable site I might try that instead. Any ideas?
  20. "We'll have another crowd in on Saturday, which will again be by far the biggest in the league.." Alright Andy, I know you lost to a Conference team tonight but there's no reason to call your fans porkers is there!
  21. Boruc will go somewhere on a free, we'll get in some nipper to play understudy to Fraser.
  22. Haven't played too much of this year's FM because my laptop died 3 weeks ago, but I did find that there were a lot more injuries than in FM14. To the point where it actually made me not want to play - what's the point in building a team if they're going to be injured half of the season?
  23. This is my issue with Redmond too - he seems very keen to cut in and have a go himself rather than look for a teammate. As a Scotland fan I have to chuck Ikechi Anya's name into the mix as well - although he's 26 he's a very good little player and would fit our system well. Quick enough to play on the shoulder, skilled enough to beat a man one-on-one and can supply a good cross too. Not sure winger is our biggest priority but if we were looking I would say he'd be a good signing at the right price.
