Sheff Wed and Peterborough are as good as Leeds and Norwich were imo, plus teams like Brentford and Charlton have made some decent signings, and could make assaults on the play-offs.

As is the Swindon chairman, who famously proclaimed a few months ago that L1 would be much easier this season! Agree with you Turkish about the top 3, reckon we'll finish second behind Huddersfield with Sheff Wed winning the play-offs.

Went in 2005, had a fantastic time. Stayed in the Mornington Peninsula area (Mt.Martha) which was absolutely beautiful and also stayed in Melbourne and Sydney. My Mum used to live in Perth as well, she said it was okay but too many Brits and the weather on the East coast is much nicer. Their summer starts in about November and runs through to February, and temperatures can reach unbearable heats at times (it was 33c at midnight on NYE05 and 41c on NYD!), but it is the best time of year to go also as everyone's out and about.

Parrett would be a great loan signing as well, very promising and would be good in rotation for midfield with Schneiderlin, Hammond and A.N.OTHER! -
I'm starting to get worried now looking at the signings they're making, they've signed McCombe from Bristol City, Croft from Derby and are very close to tying up deals for Steve Howard and Lee Carsley along with a few others. These are very good, very experienced players, and alongside their pre-existing squad, Huddersfield could be a real threat this year. Couple all that with Lee Clark at the helm of the club and you've got a team that could seriously disrupt our hunt for the title, along with Peterborough.

Kakuta would be an amazing loan, he'd tear this league apart. However, as people have said, he's absurdly close to the first team at Chelski, so it would be a risk for him to go out on loan although it would be fantastic if he came here. Solves our pace problem, and he can play striker too. -
Her stage name is Justine Joli, real name Justine Swan. Aye, she be a pornstar. Don't Google image her at work unless you know what you're doing!

But for me it's got to be:

Would have been awful news a week ago, but with Butterfield now on the books I feel more confident. Perhaps we can get a decent RB on loan from the Prem/CCC until January just so we definitely have some cover as there are question marks over whether Murty will return or not. Micah Richards anyone?

Also want to do Rock Werchter in Belgium next year, the music on the main stage goes on until 2am!http://www.rockwerchter.be/fr/lineup/index.aspx

Saw some of the highlights on Sky Arts a while back, including Moby playing there last year - looked incredible! Definitely one of the ones I want to do in '11. The lineup this year is gash though!

He was implying that he should take up the Director of Football post here at the club. Not a bad shout either!

Didn't actually go in the end, sounds like I didn't miss much. You'll see me at the Farnborough game on Weds though, and I WILL do a match report from there.

Shearer is better than Forecast, but would still prefer Bart. However, if I was Bart, i'd be looking for first team football after 4/5 years here at Saints playing backup to a succession of goalkeepers. -
Tomorrow, 3pm, The Camrose. I'll be there, will post up a match report or something when I get back tomorrow evening.

Good choice there, HTC phones are brilliant. A bit more serious than the iPhone, but a hell of a lot more practical and useful. Battery life does need to be addressed though.

What do you call a pointless race that covers 2,200 miles through France?....... ...the French.

What can be guaranteed is that if the figures turn out to be bad, it'll be blamed on Labour anyway. That's the Tory way...

Seabourne is also a bit suspect for me as well, but as you said, I trust Pardew's judgement that he'll come good. Maybe after a bit more time settling into the area and the playing squad will do his game some good, and he'll be better than last season. I hope so anyway... -

Watched a couple of Man City games he played in, and he never struck me as being particularly promising. Got caught out a lot and was a passenger in defence. Tbf though, he was thrown in at the deep end and City fans seem to rate him as a prospect. However, I would still prefer to see us using Martin in particular more often rather than loaning in a Premiership primadonna, who will probably be on massive wages and may not actually be better than what we already have. -
New Friendly Announced on 24th July

Farnborough and Basingstoke seem to think we're taking full strength teams to them as well, although I imagine there'll be a few fringe players in the Farnborough squad as the training camp in Switzerland will have finished by then. -

Boyata made a fair few appearances for the Man City first team last season - i'm not sure he'd come here on loan to sit in the reserves when he could easily get first team football elsewhere.
