As per http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?23788-Under-21s-(-)-coach-appointed-and-Henderson-leaves Stewart Henderson has parted company with SFC as a coach, and considering he's been involved at the club for nigh on 20 years, I thought it would be nice to have some kind of official recognition from SaintsWeb for his service. I thought some kind of book could be open for signing outside the ground at the Reading friendly (31st July) for fans to write messages of thanks and gratitude, although that may be a bit impractical as there probably won't be a big crowd for the game. Any other ideas as to what we could do? 20 years of service is pretty spectacular...

Under 21s (?) coach appointed - and Henderson leaves

"The (U21) squad replaces the existing Reserve set up and will ensure that the gap between the youth side and the first team is bridged, whilst also allowing for the fast tracking development of young players" Interesting idea that, quite like an International team set up. I like the sound of it, means that we won't get any more hopeless Pulis/Molyneux types clogging up the reserves. Also, the coach sounds very well qualified, and it all seems full steam ahead for SFC! Shame to see Stewart Henderson leaving though, he's been a great servant to the club in the 20 years he's been associated with us, so thank you Stewart! -
Please change 'Forecast' in the thread title to 'Predict', for a very scary moment there I thought he was going to be our #1 next season! My two cents; HOME (55pts from 69pts) Win - 17 Draw - 4 Lose - 3 AWAY (40pts from 69pts) Win - 11 Draw - 7 Lose - 4 Scored - 93 Conceded - 48 95pts ought to see us right up at the top, hopefully enough to grab the title although I suspect the likes of Sheffield Wednesday, Huddersfield etc will be nipping at our heels for most of the season. Either way, it won't be an easy ride and it's ultimately up to the guys on the pitch to produce the performances we're all looking for as fans and custodians. COYRs!

Carlos Edwards is a RB/RM, played against us with Ipswich in the FA Cup last season and looked quite good, and was good at Sunderland as well. Would be happy if we signed him! -

Garner was out for a while with injury last season, and by the time he'd recovered players like Tyson, Adebola and Earnshaw had hit form and cemented their first team places. When he did play, he was impressive and one of their best players according to my Forest supporting mate. -
Forlan shouldn't have been player of the tournament imo, there were scores of players who played better than he did. Even on the Uruguay team, Suarez was more consistent than Forlan, he'll almost certainly have earned a move to the Prem this summer. Also, all of the commentators/pundits last night were declaring Iniesta to be the best player of the tournament when he's been largely rubbish. I was expecting him and Xavi to run the tournament for Spain, but they were largely ineffective and pretty poor in most senses, bar a few special moments like Iniesta's goal last night. Xavi just specialised in falling over a lot, and Iniesta was forever trying to win cheap free kicks off Van der Wiel last night by spinning and kicking VdW's foot to trip himself. If it were up to me, it would've been; BEST PLAYERS 1) Bastian Schweinsteiger - Run every match he played in, never stopped working and had a few very special moments that will surely have cemented his reputation as a World Class footballer now. 2) Thomas Muller - Considering his inexperience at International level, he's been outstanding. Scored some very important goals and Germany didn't look quite the same without him in their Semi Final, but were revitalised in the 3rd Place Playoff when he came back. 3) David Villa - Was top quality, one of the few players on the Spanish team that deserves his Winners medal (imo of course). Scored some brilliant goals and can't wait to see what he does at Barca with the likes of Messi around him. WORST PLAYERS 1) Emile Heskey - Should never have gone to the WC, hopefully Capello will drop him now for future Internationals. 2) Robin Van Persie - I know he was doing the 'donkey work' for the Dutch team, but he squandered so many chances over the course of the tournament which other strikers like Huntelaar would've put away easily. 3) Wayne Rooney - Maybe a bit harsh to include him as he clearly wasn't match fit, but there were times when he was truly dreadful. Hopefully he can pick himself up after the tournament and get back to his best for Man Utd.

Apparently he's not gone to Switzerland, and Brizzle Rovers are rumoured to be involved in a deal with him as he's still out of contract here. Would be a shame to lose him, he's shown he's more than adequate to step in but Kelvin is first choice and it should remain so.

Who would have predicted that!? Congrats ya Kiwi f*ckers

If you can get the raw file somehow (DVDRip ought to do it), then FreeStudioManager by DVD Video Soft does a good job. It's very multipurpose, lots of file conversion programmes and Internet downloading tools (such as YouTube download and YouTube to MP3 Converter) as well as dubbing, burning and ripping tools. Just put Free Studio Manager into Google, i'm sure you can download it at www.download.com, so no worrying about dodgy websites either! EDIT: Just checked on my copy, it does have a DVD rip function as well, although it won't work with Copy Protected DVDs, you'll need to be a Russian hacker to get past that.

I'm in the minority with Simeon Jackson still, I just don't think we should all be wetting our pants over the prospect of signing a player who had never played above L1 level before this season. Fair enough, he started off well but then he faded and was eventually dropped for a few games by Stimson. £750k is a hell of a lot of money for him as well, considering Gillingham are in pretty dire financial straits and he's out of contract at the end of the season. Forgive me, but i'd rather we spent that kind of money on securing the signature of an NPC striker, which isn't too out of the question considering Huddersfield are rumoured to be in negotiations with Joe Garner, one of Forest's best players last season. -
Agreed, think the Dutch were hard done by there though, as it took 2 clear touches off Spanish players.

That Gazza interview is cringeworthy and hilarious in equal measures.. "I've brought him a big jacket, a dressing gown, some chicken, some bread, a can of lager and a fishing rod and i've brought my fishing rod and I thought we could go and have a little chat on the riverbank"
-
I would also go with the HTC, brilliant phones. If you want apps and stuff to play about with though, go for the iPhone, but the HTC is better in almost every other respect.
-
I like it, nice and simple. Good job lads (and lasses)!
-
Bournemouth would be pretty happy if we sold Lallana for 8m, wouldn't that entitle them to something to the tune of 2m? Big money for a club that went into administration not long ago..
-
One of them was some random MySpace band and the other was a 'Get Rich Quick' page. Decided a clean sweep was necessary

The only downside with Dr Pepper burps is that you actually have to drink Dr Pepper beforehand. Blergh.

Are there any particular foodstuffs or drinks that you think provide the tastiest burps? I always think Cherry burps are quite yummy.
