Seen Ash about 4 times, they're always great live, they'll put on a good show. Not sure about Orbital though, might not transfer so well live like Massive Attack a few years ago (they were absolutely awful, boring as hell).

I say this every time somebody posts a rumour up from another site, but I mentioned Vassell way back in the thread, he'd be quality. Pacy, tricky, good on the ball and a great finisher. Very experienced as well, so would be a good older head along with Connolly up front to help mentor some of the youngsters through in the squad. He hates life in Turkey apparently, and although he's had injuries in the past that have kept him out for a while, you can't argue with having a player with 22 England caps in your squad at this level. Also, really hope Oaks comes back here. He was my idol as a Saints player when I was growing up, I sent a letter off to him at the club and he sent back a nice hand-written letter answering my questions and a signed photo. Burley really screwed him over with the contract negotiations, he wanted to sign a contract with us that would take him right up to retirement (a clause in the contract he wanted would've assured him a testimonial game), but Burley offered him a 1 year deal on severely reduced wages, which of course he rejected. He'd be the perfect player to come back into the side and lead us up to the CCC again, and maybe even the Prem.

It could have happened to any airliner, but I don't think people always fully committed to the idea of the Concorde, some people were still pretty sceptical about it. Hell, even nowadays people are trying to discourage us from flying by saying we'll get DVT or our blood will thin (or is that the same thing? :confused:). It was a shame to see them go like that, but perhaps if they come back now people will be more welcoming. BA would certainly reap a f*ckload in profits if they choose to fly them again.

That was quick MLG! I don't think Swindon will be that much of a threat next season either. Clubs will be showing a lot of interest in an overachieving squad and manager now, could well see Wilson ending up at a lower CCC team (P*mpey perhaps, if they had a pot to p1ss in) and the likes of Austin and Paynter moving on to pastures new also. Interesting that Pards was there as well, a couple of players spring to mind that CDAJFU in L1, but not sure how many could perform consistently well above this level.

Just amazing what a few dozen well-honed minds, a lot of time and a f*ckload of cash can produce. I think people went off them in the end because of the explosion in Paris before they were discontinued, but i'd welcome them back with open arms. Absolutely amazing feat.

It'd be fantastic to have them flying again, supersonic airliner travel is just too much of an incredible feat to be resigned to the past. One day i'd love to fly on one, although I guess it would probably be quite underwhelming. But to think that you could go from London to New York in 2 hours, the same time it would take to fly to Marseille or Amsterdam....it's just amazing.

Sheehan would be a quality signing if we weren't already sorted at LB. Harding and Millsy are fine there, we don't need to strengthen that much there apart from perhaps in the CCC. For now, we are fine. In the future we should definitely look at Charlie Mulgrew for LB, mentioned him before in this thread but he really is good. Great set-piece delivery and very solid in defence. 6'4 as well.
