Paul Wotton is past it, he's not up to scratch anymore imo. What about including an up-and-coming youngster like Paul Wotton in the squad? He's supposed to have great potential, and could easily be the next Paul Wotton according to England management.

Zing. FWIW, I don't think we should cut international aid. There are other things that could be cut beforehand, and our aid helps to save lives around the world. What would be better would be to cancel the world debt that riddles most third world countries and stops them developing (for every £1 that we give in aid such as Comic Relief, your average third world country pays back £4 in debt repayments), then we wouldn't have to fork out so much money in aid when things go wrong and the country in question can't stabilise itself. If we have more developing third world countries we'd also have more trade and business opportunities, which suits everybody and would create jobs in a lot of countries where they're desperately needed.

Just had a major rethink of the bands i'm seeing at Glasto, going to see a lot of smaller bands this year methinks. Gotten really into bands like Local Natives, Frankie and the Heartstrings and Strange Boys recently, so I was pleasantly surprised to see all of them on the lineup! Anyone else planning to see Four Lions at the Cinema Field on Thursday night? We could perhaps have a SWF meet?

I am literally tingling with excitement caused by Gorillaz playing! They'll get Snoop Doggy Dogg on and probably Mos Def as well (they're playing at the same time, but they'll sort it out). Damon Albarn playing 2 years in a row!

If rumour is to be believed (which it quite often is on here), Schneiderlin is off after impressing some French scouts in the recent U21 tournament. Not naming any names, but the club begins with B and ends in X. I must stress that this is A RUMOUR, and nothing more officially at this point in time. So, if MS is off, it will leave us seriously short in the centre midfield department. Hammond and Wotton would be our only recognised central midfielders. We need at least 4 CMs in the squad imo, and I don't think Wotton is up to scratch either. Without MS's creativity in midfield, we didn't look anything like a L1 title-challenging team, so we need somebody who can orchestrate from the middle of the park, preferably somebody with a bit of experience. We also need a tough tackling ball winner. I would've suggested Gavin McCann, but he's just signed for Peterborough.

He's not been in favour or form at City this season though. If he moves to Villa in exchange for Milner and lots of dosh, we might see him develop into a world class fullback, but until then, Johnson is first choice. I was watching Sunday Supplement the other day and one of the guys on it mentioned that he would've taken Gary Neville... That just shows how short we are at RB without Johnson.

You've probably all heard this by now, but... U2 HAVE OFFICIALLY PULLED OUT OF GLASTONBURY 2010 Apparently Bono could risk neck-down paralyis if he doesn't recover properly from the back surgery he had recently. I wasn't going to see U2 anyway, but it's a bit of a b!tch for all the fans who were dying to see them, including Eavo who'd been trying to book them for over a decade and a half apparently. Rumours are flying round the internet at the moment as to who the replacements will be, and the most likely at the moment seem to be Coldplay or Radiohead, as they're both in the UK at that time. Others include AC/DC (who are due to play a gig in Spain the next day), The Rolling Stones (who apparently rejected the offer of a Sunday headline slot because they weren't offering enough money), The Chemical Brothers (supposedly playing next year instead), The Small Faces (reformed with a new lineup including Mick Hucknall, GAG) and Depeche Mode (who will have just come off a world tour). My personal choice would be Rage Against The Machine, they played in '94 and have their free 'Rage Factor' gig a couple of weeks after the festival, it'd be the perfect warmup ala Kings of Leon in '08 and Springsteen and Blur last year, who all played Hyde Park shortly after playing at Glastonbury.

Cheers for the reply, it does sound like a bloody good game, i'm a massive fan of the GTA series. I've got £30 for my phone bill, then £40 on top of that for the game leaves me with £50 for the rest of the month. Do-able perhaps. Having said that, I can net myself £50 if Italy win the WC this summer, so I could recoup my money!
