Not sure why people are saying that Gazzaniga had such a good game, I thought he was still pretty poor. Didn't look at all comfortable dealing with crosses, mostly because he lacks the physicality to get past players to punch the ball away. Rooted to his line a couple of times still as well, and I counted at least 4 occasions where he ar5ed around with the ball inside the 6 yard box and nearly lost it - including one where he had to punt the ball out by the corner flag to avoid having it taken off him by their striker. Still, I don't want to be overly negative as it was a very good win for us today, especially given some frustrating results over the last month. We showed how dangerous we can be on the attack, and looked a lot more solid defensively than we have done in previous weeks too. Lallana incredible again, he's in the form of his life at the moment. Jay took his chances well too. Poch learned from last week too by keeping Schneiderlin and Cork in the middle together for the full 90 minutes and not tampering with the spine of the team. Roll on next week, let's keep the performances up and get a win against Everton!

Awful support today, couldn't get a song started in the Kingsland for love nor money. No surprise I barely recognised anyone there - plastic season is in full swing!

Gazzaniga - Awful. Chambers - Good going forward, Lovren covered well for him otherwise may have been caught out a few times. Lovren - Not bad, didn't have much chance playing in that defence. Hooiveld - Awful. Fox - Awful. Cork - Put himself about and was chasing the second ball - something we failed to do several times. Surprised he came off. Schneiderlin - Wasn't bad, but you can tell he's not 100% fit. Made some good tackles but tired and faded later in the game. Davis - Pretty anonymous, drifted around near the ball a lot. Not really a winger to be fair, but he didn't play well. Lallana - Lots of energy and determination, that's what I love to see from him. One of the few bright sparks recently. Rodriguez - Average, faded in the second half. Lambert - Poor game by his standards, should have buried one from that corner to put us level again. Prowsey - Played well, weirdly looked better at RB than in midfield. Ramirez - Has no awareness of where opposition players are. The number of times i've seen him stop to pick out a pass and get tackled by a player that was 2yds away is astounding. Gallagher - Looked energetic and quick. Could've had a goal on another day. Pochettino - Weird subs today, can't understand why we took Cork off and kept Davis on. I understand we wanted to go more attacking, but Corky was playing well.

Nothing against him as a player or a person. In fact, I really admire him - to go through what he's been through and come out the other side stronger is amazing. As a footballer though he has his limitations, and I don't think his move to us has helped in that respect. He is now a big money signing for a club at his level to make due to the wages he's on with us and the amount we would expect to receive as a transfer fee from the club that buys him. In order to spend £1.5m+ in fees and 20k a week on a striker at Championship level, he has to be a sure thing (for most clubs, at least). He had a great scoring record with us in the Championship, but hasn't illustrated that at either Forest or Reading. Until he starts scoring again, I don't think clubs will be queuing up to sign him - which is the problem we had with trying to shift him in the summer.

Packed house at SMS on the last weekend before Xmas...they'll turn a nice profit. As for whether he'd get in, he can always nip up to the bus stop and hop over the railing if they stop him at the door. Or come drink round the corner at the Kingsland.
